Samsung Galaxy S 2 - REVIEW?

I guess you have done your scientific survey to get those numbers? Seems most people I talk to that have iphones, say different. people want micro sd cards, better cameras, and the biggest let down of iphone and ipads, is flash, almost everyone I talk to complain about no flash. Every yr apple does minor tweaks to the iphone /ipad, and all they do is keep falling behind other phones for technology. The iphone 5 better be some thing special, but so far what I have read , the features they are saying already are in my N8. My 12 megapixel camera with Carl Ziess lens, and zenon flash is amazing compared to any other phone camera.
Flash is dead buddy, get over it. We can thank Apple for driving the final nail in the coffin hopefully. I do agree that once in a blue moon I do need flash functionality and my phone doesn't provide it, but I'm okay with it. It happens so seldom that it's not an issue. All big media sites have already gone away from flash, and the little guys are starting to follow. HTML5 is here. Flash is useless.
But SD cards and a better camera? That, to me, is a joke. I've never once found myself needing extra storage and I have a 16gb iPhone. I also recognize that having such functionality would add more heft and unnecessary complexity to the device. The cameras on all the big smartphone players are, to me, superb. It's a phone, it's only ever gonna be so good. The limitation is always the size of the lens and sensor, and if you're expecting to shoot SLR quality and think your N8 with a 'Carl Ziess' lens is anything but a marketing ploy you're sadly mistaken. 12 megapixels? What are you doing, making billboards with your phone camera? What a joke... :lol:

Funny flash is dead, but I always here people say wtf can't even view most web pages properly. You haven't needed extra storage, odd, on any phone I had, I needed an micrio sd, the camera quality is the most important thing on my phone,and quality is what I need in my pics. The lens is probably the best lens on the phone market. You speak like a real apple groupie lol. it's funny people can't face the truth, that apple isn't the pioneer in the tech market anymore. The only joke is that apple has all the groupies believing that the iphone 5 is full of new technology, when in fact it's been on other phones already, but hey it's an iphone it has to be new, lmfao. People use their phones for different reasons, in my case an iphone is useless, as I barely use my phone for talking, and that's all an iphone is good for.

I am gonna take my sisters iPhone4 and test it out to see if stock it really can compare, because from what I have read on countless sites online is that it cannot, I think maybe the iPhone5 will be more on the same ground as the SGS2. Can you really stream video from your phone to a deck in a car? Or download 10gigs of movies (not from iTunes--meaning free), and then just plop them into your phone knowing the media player wont block it from being played? Obviously from the posts above there is no flash, and to say its dead while its still in use almost everywhere, I don't see the logic there. If you don't care about features then I guess any phone will do. And as for the camera, mine is 8MP, I don't think anything will compare to Nokia in terms of camera tech anytime soon. I use my camera to capture life moments, that usually happen too quickly for you to run and grab the SLR, and with 8mp and 1080p recording it just makes it so convenient.
The SGS2 is a great device, with a ton of features ready to go, blah blah blah... as soon as something better and faster with MORE new features comes out I will likely buy that as well. Freakyguy hopefully you find a good deal.

Galaxy S2 was just released. You're comparing it to an iPhone4 which was out in June of 2010.
And yes I can load any movie I want on my iPhone and iPad right through iTunes, directly into VLC which I downloaded free from the Apple app store. And yes I can stream video from any iOS device onto any Airplay enabled device. I have no idea if car decks support that (yet?) because I don't use such a thing in my vehicle. But Airplay has been the pioneer of the technology and is definitely the leader when it comes to integration into devices such as TVs and stereos.

Its the "techy" mindset like having a 12 megapixel picture of a crash is somehow going to make a difference than a 5 or 3 megapixel picture. Its laughable.

Hahahaha , destroyed my N8 by helping me prove it's 10x the phone iphone is, you crack me up. The iphone has half the features of any smartphone today, it's a proven fact, and the iphone 5 is using technology that most other smart phones have been using for a yr. apple is going the route of Rim. It's funny how the fanboys keep using the same crap in every thread, but won't compare the technology of the iphone to the rest of the smartphones. I remember you saying Symbian was dead lmfao, seems you were wrong again, as Nokia is releasing new versions of Symbian. I have taken my phone and compared it to friends that have iphones and in the end, even they admit, the iphone is not even half the phone the N8 is.

lmao, Apple has released information about the iphone 5, bragging about it's features, that Nokia and other manufacturers have been using, time to wake up. You just talk ****, but have proven on many occasions you have no idea what you're talking about. I got a laugh when friends were multitasking on the iphone, thinking it was a major feature lol, when even my HTC touch from 4 yrs ago could multitask. Proves the lack of vision Apple has has for yrs.

No it's the techy mindset, having a 12 megapixel camera for the detailed pics I need for my job sometimes, or capturing a great pic when I don't have my DSLR camera on me, knowing I can still print the pic in great quality if I want to. The phones today are more then just a phone, in fact are used less as a phone then any other feature, for me there isn't 1 feature on the iphone that works for me, and that's because it is just still really just a phone and has no other good use. Look on the bright side, it can be used as a great paper wait.

If we leave the App Store out (and we shouldn't), we have to admit that Nokia has created a real multimedia Swiss Army Knife with the N8, by including some functions that the iPhone 4 doesn't have (FM transmitter, USB-on-the-go, HDMI-out). However, as the financial results of Nokia and Apple show, fighting with hardware means you have already lost the battle.
Nokia N8 has very compelling extra features, but with the the Retina Display and the fast A4 chipset, the iPhone 4 already has some of the best hardware out there. On top of that, it is all crammed in the thinnest smartphone on the market, made of designer-grade materials. It also allows you to run some of the slickest programs ever made for a phone. And it is exactly the software, i.e. the overall people-friendly experience that matters most, and that's where Nokia has to play catch up now.

lmao did you read all the responses to the first link. The guy is obvious an apple fan, I could also post an article saying the same thing about the N8, some scientific research eh. You make bold the apple features but are ignoring all the features N8 has that apple users can only dream of lamo. Apple apps such as fart apps and **** are really serious, apple has more useless apps on the app store then good ones. How about apple actually putting useful apps there. You really are gullible eh. Not sure if it's true they released it to a third party, some how I doubt it, but if so that would be a good thing, from what I have read the Symbian community wants it released to them, that way they can make it even better then ever. Think about it, if you have someone developing an OS and there only interest is the OS it will be concentrated on and be developed to it's max potential. Remember I said it here, Apple is on the same road Rim is on, that's a guarantee.

Just for clarification, I never started the comparison. But I was told flash is dead, and higher MP cameras is pointless. I disagree. Its like saying that buying a 3 series BMW is good enough cuz it will do it all just fine, but what if I want an M3 instead? Is my extra tech pointless? Maybe for some, but for others its totally worth the extra coin. Its all relative to the individual. I was already aware the SGS2 is better and more feature filled than the iPhone4, I was originally trying to compare it to the COMING iPhone5. I was just saying for the same exact features (except out months earlier) why not try the Android, which from what I have read shares a lot of the same tech specs as the iPhone5, and even then has a FEW extra things that Apple didn't include.
I don't think the OP even wanted an opinion on the iPhone... but in my opinion the SGS2 and the iPhone 4 or 5 are better than Blackberry... I never liked those things.
