Good luck getting Rosey Toes to do it, he supposedly lost his license. & I don't think it was $40.

and i think $20 bucks extra for the 10 day temp sticker.
i've done this with the past 2 bikes i bought.
showed up
inspected the bike
agreed on the price
paid the person.
signed over ownership
went to MTO and came back
plated the bike and rode home.

You need insurance if you're going to ride the bike on the road, regardless of the plate status.Wait...so no insurance is needed?
Toyhauler quoted me xxxx for delivery plus safety so unless you can compete then...
Get insurance first. Then just get a friend to ride it back for you - it's not a great distance. I would just slap on a plate from another bike. The odds of getting pulled over, or even having your plate run, in that short distance is very unlikely.

rent a van for 50 bucks.
Get insurance first, it takes less than 10 minutes, and that's if you take an 8 minute bathroom break.

You can get insurance before you get the plate or even having the ownership transferred. You can get your insurance company to fax/email you a temporary insurance slip. You then take this insurance slip and the ownership to the MTO, transfer the ownership to your name, and buy a plate. You then take these items to the bike, put your plate on, and ride away.Yea thats what my friend was planning to do but hes out of town, might be able to arrange something else but atleast I have some numbers now incase I need a tow!
I know I need insurance to ride the bike on the road but I was just wondering because it'd be a bit easier to get the sticker first and then get insurance then transfer the bike. I heard it takes a day for MTO to get the update on insurance on their computers but i'm not 100% sure.
