seems everyone laughs at anyone putting a lock on their cbr 125 becuase "who would steal a 125". well who would steal a 49?!
yesterday at 2pm a van drove up to my girlfriends parking space, (it was raining so the scoot was at home) and they swiped it (lock/chain did nothing)
we have video footage, it was clearly planned. we even have a fairly clear plate on the tape. the police are disinterested and hung up on her 3 times last night (she was calm and polite, no reason to hang up other than not knowing how to use the transfer button).
I don't expect we'll ever see it again, it's easier to give parking tickets or sit at a desk and collect a salary, video or no. the kicker is she didn't get theft insurance because it costed extra. (I paid for the scoot. last time I'll ever do that for someone).
you know, I've always thought GPS trackers should go on expensive bikes, but I think I may order one for my 500 now.
looks like times are tough on everyone right now.
