I've started to hear people with their home phone service are going offline too - pretty sure that's new.

I doubt it. When a company gives zero fucks about brand loyalty, they don't care about thier brand. Even innovation has completely stopped. Everything "new" they introduce is just 2-5 yr old hand me downs from Comcast.

Oh that makes sense. Like when they oversell their internet capacity and the whole thing grinds to a halt. It's been a very long time since they added 100,000 subscribers a day and the system collapsed under the strain.
