Ill be there.

I have a feeling this is gonna be a bigger group. Can we keep the newbies in the back? (no offence) Maybe be a bit better in the twisties.

I was on Southwood (13) yesterday from end to end twice. There is only a little debris in the center of a few corners and some lovely new pavement. Bala is very busy...

Are 250 first timers allowed to participate? ;) I would love to join, been aching to take out my ninja250 for a ride but I don't know any roads....

Hey,

I have never been there and would love to join you. Are you planning a moderate pace? Otherwise I will not be able to catch up on my CBR250 :)

LMN Thanks,

Stan

Will be an interesting ride thats for sure

Hi,
What will do is,...When we get to Southwood, we will make 2 groups and I will explain that at the Esso station before we start for the day. I ride a 400 Ninja but I can keep up with the 4 banger bikes in the twisties, in fact, sometimes they are in my way. I also have modifications so that I can easy cruise at a 140 on the highway. There will be a couple of 250cc joining us and they will be good at 120 on the highway. At this point, I don't know if they are newbies. None the less, it will be fun.
There is nothing like out performing a 1 liter with my little 400. The Rule is, 20 over on the straights, flat out in the corners.

"There is nothing like out performing a 1 liter with my little 400" .I will be going easy for I sliced hand open and partially severed a tendon on my left thumb but I can still shift baby.Don't need the clutch anyway just to take off

Well me and my 250 certainly classify as newbies. I like the making 2 groups idea to keep slow poked like me out of the way :p

It's okay, there are a few other newbies riding, not me. We will figure something out in regards to check points.
I figure, our first stop will be the Petro Canada on gasoline alley, next stop will be underneath the 400 over pass just before we get to Southwood, after that will be the Esso station at Glen Orchard on 169, just pass Bala and gas up again in Sprucedale.

Just keep in mind, not all 250 riders are newbie riders!

This is going to be a great ride!

I wish I could make it but cannot, not to mention I'm still breaking in the engine on my bike so I'm not good to have in a group anyway.

That being said, would anyone mind taking the ride using Everytrail.com or Diablo? That way I can do a solo run at a later date.

I wish I could join up with you guys, I am in Parry Sound at the moment... I would love to meet some of you gta boys/girls. I live in Woodstock, so I am seldom close.

an e-bike rider can also NOT be a noob but he can only go as fast as an e-bike allows JUST SAYING:laughing6::laughing6:

I agree. Buttttt... For some reason, a lot of the people here on gtam seem to think a ninja 250 has trouble riding at 120+km/h.

Ninjas reach that speed with little effort. In fact, ninjas cruise above 140 with ease and with plenty of revs left.

it always seems that smaller displacement riders have something to prove as far as capabilities are concerned.Of course I agree that its not the bike but the rider.I know one rider on a 250 from this forum that can pretty well keep up or wipe up most litre bikes in the tight twistys but sweepers and such not so sure as speed has to be way up there to enjoy. The last time I did the muskoka run those long hard sweepers call for twice the limits and more to enjoy "JUST SAYING",I have no problems with newbs or 250's I am very patient and want everyone to get home safe and sound
