Or more people working. Removing the overburden of the union improves productivity, reduces costs and doesn’t appear to erode wages.I believe RTW is the thin edge of the wedge. I think of it more as the right to work for less.
There’s also a movie specific thread! There’s a thread for that!

I'm more of a TV junkie when the winter comes..... movies in the summer, tv in the winter. I recently got hooked on AMC's Hell on Wheels, the second season just finished in October, but what an awesome TV show. So far my second favourite after Breaking Bad. But, in order of preference, here's...www.gtamotorcycle.com
Although I get what you were trying to do.
Maybe depends on type of business. If we don't treat our employee's well, we won't have any. Plus it's the right thing to do.MM I agree that not all places need unions. Like yours there's lots of great non union shops. There are lots (some?) of unions that end up being counter productive. I just don't believe all people who run a business will do it as ethically as at your shop. And unions are there to protect those people

Bills like Bill 124 have been struck down in other provinces . It is not legal . How do you bargain . When the the person that you are bargaining with can pass laws as to what you can get . Everyone complains about strikes . But many government workers took it dry for years . Zero percent wages or or one percent . That is not even cost of living .yeah unions are great .... striking during a pandemic for a raise ...great group of “ heroes” F off

Ontario's air ambulance paramedics have raised the possibility of going on strike - an “absolute last consideration” if they can't land an exemption from a provincial law that caps their salaries.www.cp24.com
When the total comp is well above the private sector and increases faster than the private sector and they make up >30% of the workforce, what's your suggestion for covering the bill? Continuing to push for more just accelerates the collapse.Bills like Bill 124 have been struck down in other provinces . It is not legal . How do you bargain . Get real please ...on top of guaranteed jobs and tax payer funded pensions etc. They aren’t suffering in any wayBills like Bill 124 have been struck down in other provinces . It is not legal . How would you like no raise for 4 to 5 years ? 6.64% pay raise for three years is just cost of living . I bet it won't even cover that once inflation starts in Canada . The only reason they got the raise . Is because there is an election around the corner .Get real please ...on top of guaranteed jobs and tax payer funded pensions etc. They aren’t suffering in any way

Getting 2% is not a raise . It is just keeping what you have when you factor inflation .They are higher paid than the private sector by a lot already , get many perks and pensions that private sector doesn’t get. If your pay is already much higher than industry standard why should you get a raise you’re already above everybody else
Study after study shows that public sector worker pay is 10% - 20% higher than private sector worker pay for the same type job. And the total compensation gap does not stop there. Public Sector workers all have defined benefit pension plans whereas the average private sector worker does not even have a pension.Getting 2% is not a raise . Show me the proof of your 20% .Study after study shows that public sector worker pay is 10% - 20% higher than private sector worker pay for the same type job. And the total compensation gap does not stop there. Public Sector workers all have defined benefit pension plans whereas the average private sector worker does not even have a pension.
So you’re 10 to 20% higher than private sector but you still need constant raises? Until what? Every government employee is making $1 million a year. Jobs pay what they pay it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been working there or how many raises you have got or have not got you can’t keep getting raises indefinitely. And you don’t deserve them if you were already 10 to 20% higher than the private sector with many perks that the private sector does not have.
You’re not comparing apples to apples. If you’re paid 50,000 for the same job that I’m paid 60 to 70,000 for I don’t deserve or need a raise all the time. They are already way ahead of the game
