Tough day with the kid and a relief as he's off to 24.7 hospice tomorrow which will take pressure from his partner. Their house can revert from hosipital room to home and she can get some sleep.
Sitting here in the Scott jacket we wore across Canada replete with Vancouver bugs. I have no other warm jacket to wear and his has a comfort factor for me.
Considering wearing it on the plane home. 🛫
I am taking the faded yellow convertible helmet home as well ..love its FoV
Happier times....Top of Beartooth and we were glad to have the 3 season Scotts.

Tough times MD. We all feel for you. It's hard to find a better place to live out your life than a hospice. I'm glad he was able to get a spot.

Thanks.
Yes pleasantly surprised at no wait time....was really getting concerned about his partner's stress level....just too much.

5 km from home and they had an immediate opening...dumb luck that

Situated at 430 Winston Churchill Boulevard, which borders Oakville and Mississauga, Ian Anderson House is located on a tranquil, treed lot. The 4700 square foot (436 m2) building has six individually decorated large private bedrooms, with top-of-the-line hospital beds, ensuite washrooms, telephones, televisions and Wifi throughout the house. Large bedroom windows overlook the garden and grounds providing serene views.

Residents and their families have access to the entire house, which includes a large country kitchen, living room, sunroom and covered patio. In addition, the House was carefully designed to ensure that beds and wheelchairs can be taken out on the patio and to the garden.

Our Sanctuary Garden, at the back of the property, has greatly enhanced the grounds of our hospice and is much enjoyed by our residents, families and visitors. The garden features paths for wheelchair and bed access, seating areas, a gazebo, a pond and a Memory Wall. Joshua’s Creek runs through a ravine along the back of the Garden.

I'm so glad I have hundreds of photos of our adventures. Offsets the dying boy today. He is sort of comfortable and often in a fantasy world...we can watch his right hand on an imaginary trackball....earlier today it was a driving game. Laughter and tears from us...in his own world tho still recognising us and his hearing is sharp...partner sez it is last to go.
As a nurse she's seen many shuffle off this mortal coil including her mum who died at home last year.

Clear report on fracture clinic no more horrid rides to other hospital.

On the other hand I started a miserable cold....took covid test but no results for 2 days. Don't dare see the kid either way tho I hear he is settling in.
Actually took the rapid test no covid - (y)
Now I can just feel miserable bio.jbtfsplk.jpg
Kid is more comfortable in hospice and his partner getting sleep. (y)😇
