It is alright, though the sound people messed up bad on the bike(s) used.

The Way Way Back.

Re: The Place Beyond the Pines

Saw Wolverine last night.
It was pretty good, they did a decent job of tying it into the timeline of the first 3 XMen movies. Action was good, it actually had a bit of a story.
Stay a few minutes into the credits if you go, nice foreshadowing in a hidden scene.

Watched Man of The Year ("O Homem do Ano") http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0312773/ - not a bad crime drama. Local loser loses a bet, bleaches his hair, gains newfound confidence, picks a fight with a local bully, kills him and turns vigilante for hire. Not spectacular, but definitely entertaining

"The Angel's Share" Ken Loach movie, on at arthouse cinemas. Pretty good movie if you can understand a deep scottish accent without subtitles and don't mind if every alternate word is ****.

Re: The Place Beyond the Pines

Saw Pacific Rim the other night on IMAX in 3D. Spectacular eye candy to watch. Good entertainment if you don't delve too deeply into the plot.

It was definitely worth seeing and I learnt the lesson of sticking around for the credits, several movies ago ;)

Re: The Place Beyond the Pines

2 Guns - action/cop comedy. Kind of reminded me of the Bad Boys. Typical Mark being a jocker. Denzel's got a swag.
R.I.P.D. - this one was a total joke... Men in Black resurrected?? You have to watch it very-very drunk.

I thought 2 guns was good. Never seen a Denzel movie I didn't like

Sent from my commodore 64 on dial up

Saw '2 Guns' and enjoyed it! Had some good laughs and good action. Helps that I'm a fan of both main actors though.

Re: The Place Beyond the Pines

And by don't delve, you mean ignore right?!? Fantastic eye candy for sure, but the story line and inconsistencies were completely retarded! There were scenes where my GF and I would just look at each other and go 'dafuq?'.

Re: The Place Beyond the Pines

The Colony, good premise but overall a fail. The story, characters etc had no depth, its like watching a watered down knockoff of a good movie.

Two guns was okay but they basically give you the entire story line in the trailer.

Based on a graphic novel that stands alone. No MiB rip-off. The problem is that most buddy cop movies are based on the old hand teaching the newbie, so that's going to resonate through the whole genre.
