Think that I forgot to mention I had seen "Black Adam." DC movies continue to underwhelm me. Best thing about it was that they used the Justice Society of America and not the Justice League. I feel that the Golden Age heroes tend to have more personality, while also not being quite as godlike in power.

I was hoping to see Violent Night over the holiday. No luck finding it yet.

The Banshees of Inisherin

Traditional movies we watch at this time of year:

Not quite sure how this actually ended up on the list.

We saw the play this year, it has a much different vibe from the movie.

We also sometimes watch It's a Wonderful Life and Scrooged when there's time.

Sorry, Die Hard is NOT a Christmas movie, that this family watches.

Add Best Years of Our LIves to the list and be blown away.

Venturing into Dahmer tho it's TV series.

This is in my to watch queue. Not expecting much, usually the Rock delievers but the feedback doesn't seem good on this.

Scrooged is one of the best, Bill Murray at his finest and generally good movie over all with a light heart, with great satirical stereotypes.
Miracle on 34th, nuff said.

Ah Die Hard, I dunno why not, just like Trading Places, set around Christmas Time.

Watched: Black Adam last night.

It was bad, had Zach Synder influences all over it, without him being credited. Not good. All his signature useless imagery and slo mo, with over the top FX and cartoonish movements.
Besides that the story and characters you didn't care about, The Rock was dull, he didn't have to be The Rock, but at least be interesting. It wasn't unwatchable, just glad I could pause it and do something else.

Very 'Stralian western

Twas ever thus..
loosely based on actual events....

and a Naomi Watts, David Carradine classic western

a very young looking Watts and the Montana accent not quite there.

Feel good movie.. These kids are astonishing Picture 111.jpg

Avatar was mesmerizing in AVX and they got 3d correct on a movie finally.
Story was predictable, technical was jaw jaw dropping.

Partner was not happy with the whale analogue scenes but impressed with the experience.
I was enthralled tho the analogues were maybe a bit blunt tho maybe that was the idea.....the fauna was just incredible

A review I agree with

Watched Avatar in IMAX 3D - totally agree - the show is amazing and must be watched in such format, feel sorry for ppl who makes their judgments based on experience watching it on their phone or on the back of the airplane's seat....
