Rant: pulled out of my M test

Got it towed to the mechanic this morning.
The bike is still opened up. The clutch plates burnt out and we're waiting for a final piece to get shipped. It looks like it's affected by the Canada Post strike now :(

If you haven't already called up your insurance company, let them know ASAP that you have your full M, they may do a mid-year adjustment to your rate which could bring down the price you pay monthly
Called them. No change in cost. :(

At least it's fall, better than being stuck in the spring!

Had to wait two months when the tsunami hit Japan for mine. You’ll survive, especially with multiple bikes.

Edit: I haven’t figured out an inexpensive way to insure multiple bikes yet.

If you are named as the only validly licensed and only insured person (in a household) on a multiple motorcycle collection, there should be a substantial reduction.
Particularly if these are motorcycles over 30 years of age in Ontario and are licensed as "historic motorcycles" (ie limited use)

I think @Mad Mike has a decent solution. Lots of bikes in the stable but only the current one you are riding insured. His broker lets him switch more often than most would.
Depending on the value of bikes in a multiple (stable of bikes) It could be of advantage to keep "fire & theft" coverage on all bikes but "on the road " coverage only on the one - or several - which are used on public roads.

That would be nice. I don't know if any insurance company in Ontario allows that anymore. Without liability on every bike, they don't want it on a policy.

As @GreyGhost said, this plan is practically a non starter in my experience. I think @Mad Mike does have fire/theft on his and swaps the liability around but as i recall he's been a long long time customer and has a good relationship. Definitely not the rule.
