Race for Sight Charity Track day August 24th

I am bringing my 8 year old daughter but our canopy is broken. Anyone have room for two other people in their shade? Let me know and I will pit next to you.

Broken canopy? and you don't have duct (Duck) tape?

I'd lend you some shade, but your bike is too freakin' loud.

Big thank you to VnM Sportsgear for donating a custom VnM gear package that includes a fully customized dye sublimation pit crew shirt and matching full custom VnM compression baselayer top. A value of $500 which includes artwork fees and gear. This package will be available at our Silent Auction.
*Silent Auction will be cash only
VnM will also be present selling VnM sportgear at the track.
Just another reason to make your way to TMP on August 24th!

VnM Sportgear is proud to support Race for Site. We have also decided to donate $25 of each sale made at the trackday. We are providing test samples so you can see for yourself how amazingly air conditioned this gear is! See you there!!!!!
P.S. I'm riding in the Intermediate session so you may not see me at the booth then (gotta support the cause!)

Had a great time today despite parting ways with my bike twice :sad1:! Ride for Sight did a great job of organizing the event!

Left a little early to do repairs so I've got pictures up already:

Thanks for all the great photos! Sorry about how your day ended.

Yes R4S did a great job - the organizers sure worked their tails off to make it a special day. Unfortunately the first session in intermediate was a bit of a cluster f***, with a lot of people obviously not clear on the rules about entering the track. The rest of us just stood there with our moths agape as several riders ignored the starter and rode right around him! Not cool.

Once that got sorted though it went well - lots of traffic, but that's okay - everyone seemed to be riding considerately.

By the end of the day I finally was into the 1:23s, and even did a 1:23.0 on my last timed lap - new personal best for me.

I have quite a bit of video and will try to stitch together the most interesting bits in the next few days.

Great day, great organizers. Some nice bikes and nice people.
Hope to see the photos from the photographers that were in the infield as well as ones from those standing at the wall.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! We had a great day and will DEFINITELY be running Race for Sight 2014. We appreciate everyone coming out and will post a final number when the donation amount is concrete!

Gerry Angus was in the infield and you can see/purchase your photos from www.spectrophotography.ca ALL proceeds will be going to the Foundation.

Wow, nice work!!! Gonna have to try and shave 1 second off my best to tie you at next TMP day. When's your next one planned for?

Congrats! Now do a 1:22.0! I was at Grand Bend today gaining new skills to bring back to TMP. When are you going again?

I might be done for the season. My workload this fall is nuts. Some possibility I will get out to the DOCC event at Grand Bend in September, but I think I am finished at TMP for this year, so 1:22 will have to wait. I feel like I need to go to slicks or DOTs for next season (with warmers) - I was pushing the front a bit yesterday. Maybe I also need to move to red group soon. I am almost fast enough now not to be a total pylon, and I am sure I could learn a lot by being on track with those guys.

What configuration were you running? I really need to get there for a Reverse Screaming Alien day. My lefts suck.

Yesterday - Screaming Alien. And today (Sunday) they are running it in reverse. I don't know, but I wouldn't want to be there today, something about that high-speed straight coming out of the already supersonic speed carousel, followed by a sharp 175 degree double apex left...scary
