Join us at Toronto Motorsports Park's (Cayuga) 3 km track on August 24th and race for sight!

In support of the Foundation Fighting Blindness and supported by the Ride for Sight, Race for Sight brings motorcyclists, stunters, and spectators together to raise money for research to restore the gift of sight to those living with genetic forms of blindness.

Shred the track, watch Stunters Inc do their thing at the stunt show, participate in games to win sweet prizes, or hang out at the MarcAngelo BBQ, there is something for everyone!

Race for Sight lapping is aimed to accommodate riders of ALL EXPERIENCE. Track session will run for 15-20 minutes alternating between 'Novice, 'Intermediate', and 'Expert' groups. Rider's will get the chance to get their pictures taken by our professional sports photographer from spectrophotography.ca. A prize table and silent auction will be set up to give all riders a chance to win great prizes and gear. We will be breaking from 12pm-1pm to head over to the BBQ to grab a quick bite, watch the stunt show, and buy gear for cheap from the silent auction donated by Kahuna Powersports.

Anyone coming out to Race for Sight, as a spectator, to support the cause, will be able to head over to the drag strip and check out the Canadian Street Car Nationals. There will also be a DJ spinning and games to have fun with friends and family.

Riders:
Pre-registration (before August 10th) : $135
Door-registration: $150
*Riders will receive 2 spectator tickets

Spectators:
Age 13+: $15
Age 6-13: $10

Come out and support a great cause with friends from all over Ontario! All proceeds will be donated to the Foundation Fighting Blindness!

Join us at Toronto Motorsports Park's (Cayuga) full 3km track on August 24th and Race for Sight!

Partnered with the Foundation Fighting Blindness and supported by the Ride for Sight, Race for Sight brings motorcyclists, stunters, and spectators together to raise money for research to restore the gift of sight to those living with genetic forms of blindness. Shred the track, watch Stunters Inc do their thing at the Stunt show, participate in games to win sweet prizes, or hang out at the killer BBQ, there is something for everyone.

The lapping portion of Race for Sight is a perfect time to gain experience on the track with other riders of similar experience on TMP's 3.0km track. Track session will alternate between 'Expert', 'Intermediate', and 'Novice' groups.

Riders:
Pre-registration (before August 10th): $135
Post-registration: $150

Spectators:
Age 13+: $25
Age 6-13: $15
Age <5: Free

Come out and support a great cause with friends from all over the GTA! All funds are donated to the Foundation Fighting Blindness.

$25 a spectator? Really? I realize its for charity and all, but seriously...

Maybe $5 a person at the gates will draw more people in, than $25.

The motive behind charging $25 a spectator is strictly a charitable one. All funds are being donated to the Foundation Fighting Blindness.

TMP is also holding this massive event on their drag strip that costs $30 a spectator. Our spectators are welcome to head over and check out the runs.:thumbright:

However, keeping in mind the goal to raise money for charity, if the consensus of the motorcycle community finds $25 to be too steep for what is offered (stunt show, prizes, access to the drag strip, and a bbq) I'm sure we can work something out.

I just spoke to Justin, the organizer of this event, and he's advised me that the spectator fee has dropped to $15.00 per person. Anyone coming out to the Race for Sight Event, as a spectator, to support the cause, will be able to head over to the drag strip and see all the fun there too. 100 percent of their spectator fee is going to the Race for Sight Charity. He also mentioned that he's going to create a coupon on the site that can be printed out so that the spectators can ensure they are getting the reduced spectator rate.

He's got a lot of things lined up for the day and it sounds like it's gonna be a great time. So if you are not coming out to Grand Bend with GTAM on August 24th, head on down to TMP for the day. Run the track and support a great cause!

Look forward to working more closely with Race for Sight next year! GTAM will be supporting their day with a donation to their prize table for this year!

Thanks cutekill!

As Donna said, we have reduced the spectator fee to $15. And not previously mentioned, riders will be able to bring in 2 spectators each.

In addition, we have secured our professional photographer to come to Race and shoot. With professional experience shooting the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Honda Indy, you can be sure to get some sweet shots at the turn of your choice on August 24th.

We will post some of his new Indy shots after race weekend.

Is there lunch provided at the event?

I am not sure if anyone realized...there is a GTAM day at grand bent on the same day....no?

"August 24 - GTAM Track day at Grand Bend

GTAM Track Day are friends and family days. If you want to do a track day but feel intimated by some of the other track days offered because of your lack of experience on the track, then this is the place for you. We supply a BBQ lunch for you, run three groups, green, yellow & red. Have a live DJ and a prize table. It’s just a day of fun. Come on out!"

MarcAngelo Foods will be at R4S with a full BBQ setup. Food will be "sold" for a small donation. We are also taking special requests for vegetarian and halal foods.

GTAM is having a track day at Grand Bend on August 24th. As cutekill said "if you are not coming out to Grand Bend with GTAM on August 24th, head on down to TMP for the day. Run the track and support a great cause!"

Will try.

Race for Sight will be helping out with, and donating prize t-shirts to, the GTAM TMP track day tomorrow. If you have any questions about R4S and will be there tomorrow look for me, Justin. I'll be wearing a white Race for Sight shirt.

Justin - looking forward to the Race for Sight track day that I won at the GTAM Family day! I'm looking forward to a great turnout and raising some cash for charity! Grand Bend is a bit far for me, so I wasn't going to be attending the GTAM day there.

I'll be bringing a couple of spectators, don't mind making the donation.
