R3 vs Sv650 (and do looks matter?)

The bike that i had completely ignored(didnt even know it existed) is the Ducati Sixty2, which i shall look more into and get some insurance quotes(dont like the fact that its air cooled bleh)

Why? There is absolutely nothing wrong with an air cooled bike. Less maintenance, too. This is a foolish reason to discount the Duc.

LWT is my size and if the bike is quick and fun for him(even on the highway) then the R3 it is

How can you be so certain of the R3? How many bikes have you actually sat on? You ought to visit some more dealers and throw a leg over lots of different bikes. You're doing yourself a disservice, bud. Cycle World in Scarborough has a very broad variety.

I sat on it as well, felt comfy,(along with the SV)

My understanding is they overheat in the summer especially in traffic(Air cooled that is), the price tag is what almost 9k for the duc?

Absolute nonsense. This is the 21st century. Not a hint of trouble with my air cooled Thruxton, five years and 60,000km on.

I'm not sure why you started this thread. You obviously made your choice some time ago.

Have fun. ?

Better to figure out here than after buying the bike no?

Case in point, you buying an overweight and underpowered version of an R6/Fz6

The guy who doesn't even have a bike is talking ****?

Get yourself on two wheels and then come join the party. Right now you are classified below NOOB. An the 6R is a great bike and anyone who has actually ridden one would tell you that. I love mine.

Get on my level :)

Aww, we were about to play catch and you drop the ball. Come on man!

We really have no reason to argue tho, I'll start talking about crazy things like what it's like to ride a motorcycle and you won't have a clue what I'm talking about ;)

So let's be friends OK :)

haha sure,

Ill run circles around you on my epic bicycle :P

I would get an ex500 again just for the centrestand. makes chainwork so much easier :(

Can we just say the r3 is a nice bike and the sv650 is a nice bike and all the fz's are nice bikes and you will have lots of fun on any of them and then in a year or two or three you'll have a better idea of what you want and you can make a switch one way or the other.

Pick the bike you can find the best deal on and isnt too much on insurance. You can read reviews and listen to opinions all day and it won't give you any idea of what the bikes are like to ride/live with.

LOL !...its funny because its true

You are off your door mate. I take more crap from randoms like you then any other member in the history of GTAM.

Don't see me complaining about it. All I see from you is a profile picture-less nobody who just wants my attention. Well here you go, enjoy it.

I have never come across a motorcycle that you need to remove the motor to get at a spark plug ffs.

Maybe not remove, but certainly can be a ton of work to access the rear cylinder on a V-Twin.
Quite a few need to have the engine "rotated" in the frame - basically remove everything necessary to be able to turn the motor in the frame without removing it.

Look at any of the Ducati Panigale's, you need to do a huge amount of work to access the rear cylinder.

Just some thoughts.

wth, you are referencing a full race machine they made street legal
clearly you need to change your sig or is it there to give you the appearance of intelligence
Some of you are sounding like real idiots.

If you own a Duc Panigale then I am pretty damn sure you are paying someone to work on the bike.
