Toronto Police are looking for help in identifying a motorcyclist who sped away from a rush-hour collision which sent another motorcyclist to hospital.
The two drivers were allegedly travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Lawrence Avenue when they hit another vehicle making a left turn at Brimley Road around 5:26 p.m. on Friday, May 25.
Police said the driver of one motorcycle was injured while the driver of a second motorcycle struck the first motorcycle and was knocked to the pavement, but remounted and fled the scene.
The first motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man, has been charged with racing, stunt driving and careless driving, and police said his motorcycle was seized for seven days. Investigators are asking the second driver, and anyone else with information, to contact police at 416-808-4125 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.222tips.com

So.. A description of the bikes would have been handy.. should we assume sport bikes?

...I bet you it was those filthy hippies on scooters, not SS bikes at all...or maybe those slovenly cruiser-types...damn their souls.

Toronto Police can look all they want, they won't be getting my help.

Sounds similar to the crash out in Mississauga a couple months back....young dudes that think their invincible. Throw the damn book at them!!!

I'm sure he'll give up his buddy soon enough...if he even knew him...

sounds like another car making a left turn without looking :)

So you are against the cops finding some total dooshbag street racer who put the publics lives at risk? yeah.. that's mature...

Nice. I don't wish you ill but should you happen to be lying by the side of the road not doing so well, think about what you just wrote. Just sayin'.

Um...?

I might be wrong about this, but isn't whoever turning left always at fault? I don't know the rules exactly, but I've heard of ppl who've got into "turning left" collisions and always get ****ed even if the opposing lane is running a red.

There are exceptions.

...And the looser was written up for stunting and hospitalized while his buddy (or random guy) got away .
Gonna cost this guy $3000++
And his insurance in the future will be sky high should he be convicted.

Nice catch as turbo would say.

Well it says "allegedly", but if it's true, pretty messed up as there's an island dividing east/west at Lawrence and Brimley intersection

Hey, I thought those speeders and splitters had "balls and skill". Sounds like both of them had neither. Ho-hum, more fresh meat for the cops.

Well not these ones obviously, they crashed!

I'm with you on this one. At least until they solve my break-and-enter case. I lost faith in their organization.
