Paris Attack

It's naive to think that the CIA is the sole root cause of all this. Certainly US meddling in foreign affairs has played a role. But the US could back off completely and it won't make the problems in that part of the world go away.

And the USA is not France ... In what way does a murderous response to a comic strip have anything to do with the CIA or any other western interests?

I showed France's involvement as well brian...didnt say its just the cia.. used them as an example

I stand for non interference...
Respect for ALL not just for the few..

rights with reasonable responsibilities..

As brian said.. there needs to be healing... that cant happen while more and mire terrorists are being dumped on muslim world and muslims are expected to apologize for the terrorists actions..

Muslim world needs to be left alone... we can sort out our messes on our own in our own way... we cant do that while tgere is interference. .

how about some non interference from muslims like not moving to another country and then trying to interfere and change the laws and culture to suit them.

Thats fair... lets ALL immigrants leave... ALL even the europeans

So when are we leaving the nation to its original owners sonny??

So will this cleaned up mess be free of mass murders, beheadings, floggings etc? I really want to know what your answer is.

i would doubt any of isis and company would survive... its their(multiple countries) country but its a mess because of our extra long noses... they get to clean up as per their laws and customs..

You're equating conquest to immigration and integration? Again, you're not making any sense.

Historically "being there first" has never granted anyone permanency in any particular region.

Every time a subject like this comes up you make it clear that you believe any "Westerner" who does not openly protest and fight against the actions of his government is party to their crimes and a supporter of "Western Terrorism". You hold all of western civilization responsible for the actions of a select few involved in international politics. That is every bit as stupid as anyone who holds all of Islam responsible for the actions of a few whackos.

Definitely can't wash away foreign government involvement but, history has shown if you ignore/leave them to take care of things on their own, it's not going to get any better.

The west is a convent place to pint fingers.

I don't know what the answers are. If I was of Muslim faith, I'd encourage the representative leaders to spend a little more effort on public relations on the positive messages of it's faith and dispel the myths. They don't have to get into every area. Just the peaceful, loving, respect of others etc.

Other religions have wacky spin offs. Multiple wifes, letting "god" heal over modern health care etc.

Folks can coexist with stuff like that because, it's not at the expense of others. There maybe victims within the group but, they rarely branch out with terrorism etc.

That's my take on it.

Caboose..

Misrepresentation
Manipulation
Seem to be your tools ofchoice so m.going to completely ignore you .. since you bounce around soo much and always take things out of context by will and choice...

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that Shahfaisal is criticizing the West left and right and the "misuse" of free speeech yet he would never be able to freely speak his mind in most -if not all- Islamic nations? One of the prices of free speech is that someone will say, write, or depict something which will insult someone else or which they might find offensive.

I thought the earlier comment about murdering over potatoes being left on one's doorstep was apt. 12 murders over cartoons depicting Mohammed is ridiculous and only fans the flames of Islamophobia and xenophobia which will make life more difficult for moderate Muslims living in western nations.

Frankly, I have to ask if Shahfaisal considers himself a "moderate" or mainstream Muslim.
