October 8,9,10 @ TMP

I feel really bad that he got hurt but he was riding way past his skill level...

here is the video of the crash after reviewing it. It seems to me i was a little far back to catch really good footage of the incident not to mention the camera was bouncing all over the place. all in all it was a good ride and it was a lot of fun its just too bad it ended badly. i know mike is ok but i don't know if the other guy is ok and how bad the bike is hopefully he comes on here and post some stuff.

by the way i was backing it in, in turn 1, 2 and 5 man it was fun.

You forgot to point out that the crash is at 8:20. Really hard to tell from that video what happened, but most likely the rider in back tried to stuff the other guy after the chicane going into 8 and just couldn't make it.
 
Ouch! That looks like a bad crash from what can be seen in the video! It sort of looked like the guy following tried to follow the guy in front into the corner at the same speed and panicked at the last moment and ran straight on into the guy in front. Hope both riders are ok!
 
That video gave me a chance to look at the time it took to get help to the scene. At 8:20 the crash occured. At 8:37 you can see the TMP truck going accross the field to help. (so it left a few seconds before that) At 8:48 you can see me on the scooter leaving the pit and the Ambulance heading out as well.
Thanks to all that helped out with the incident

Donald it seemed like you guys were there in a flash... I remember trying to get the riders foot out of my rear wheel and when I couldn't I turned and looked to the pit area and you guys were already zooming out at break neck speed towards the accident, very quick response time.
One thing I don't think I'll every erase from my mind is you kicking the crap out of my titanium Hindle exhaust... ;)
 
Sorry about having to do that - I do have a really bad burn from it though.
Chris was steading the bike that was upside down with the riders leg trapped in between the rear wheel and the mufflers.
The downed rider was screaming in pain for us to get his leg out of the bike.
With no other plan I apparent I kicked the exhaust as hard as I could till we could free the rider.
R1guy - thanks for letting us harm your baby to free an injured rider.

Wow that's sad to read and watch. This is somthing I never think about after a pass, you don't expect to be rearended! When I posted earlier that I tried following you through turn 2 I was a good 15-20ft behind you and was NOT trying to do anything other than see how fast you really were going through there (don't want you to think I was another comacaze gunning for ya). It's too bad it has to end like this but only you know what's best for you, good luck with whatever you use to try and fill the void.
