Nova Scotia active shooter

Huge difference.
A denturist is not a doctor.
Not the same school or requirements. Not as much money being made. And of course not as much costs of running the business.

He worked with teeth....

It's going to be a mess when everything comes out. 12 hours, suspect in multiple vehicles, reports of double digit victims, multiple properties on fire.

I would have preferred no deaths especially the cop. It's hard to learn from a corpse. This is a sad day for everyone. Group hugs are needed but banned. Of course the biggest question is "Why?"

Police press conference. In excess of 10 deceased across multiple sites. They havent started processing some scenes yet. Expect the number to go up. Some with relationship with shooter, others with no known relationship at this time. The police car he had was a replicar, not an actual rcmp vehicle.

wow waiting to see if it was anyone i would know, sad day

Denturist, basically he made and fitted false teeth. A 2-3 year course and income of about $43,000. All averages. I met one that, by the look of his house, did much better.

This was a long time hate, getting the car and vinyls, lights and uniform. I assume if you can pass the exams to become a denturist you can pass the exams for a FAC. No rocket science needed. Personal life...........who knows, maybe a break up.

They will dig out the details over the next while particularly where he got the dress uniform. It could even be a stage costume. The working uniform is plain.

Did some vinyl sign shop get duped into doing the vinyls, told it was for a movie or practical joke.

There is little to prevent a recurrence. Ban vinyl? Weekly brain scans? The gun ban thing will come up again.

Sad that one person could have that much hate.

Edit: I assumed he was wearing a dress uniform but that may be wrong.

If you know someone there they will likely know a victim, the degrees of separation thing. At last report 17 are dead and they had friends, if not you someone else. There will be grief. This is not the Canada we know and it hurts.

The gun ban thing will come up again.

"The suspect used his gun during the rampage, but may have used "other methods" as well "

There were reports he was using the vehicles as a weapon. Winnipeg fire truck, Younge St. van, now this. It's time we ban cars

It seems more efficient to ban crazy people. Allegedly there was a previous disturbance with this guy that needed a half dozen cruisers to resolve. If you are doing things that require that amount of police effort to resolve, the signs were clearly there.

man, the news gets sadder as more details are revealed....

reportedly, the lady rcmp officer was shot in the chest first, then dragged from the car and shot point blank.

parents were executed in front of their children.

crazy. just crazy.

We have a Firearms Act that allows police to confiscate the license and guns from a person like that immediately after the first incident. The question then becomes why did this guy still have guns? Did he obtain them illegally?
