Working at the dealer there were perks. Namely dating girls and driving them around in jags that weren’t mine
The Jags weren't yours or the girls weren't yours?
Or both?
Spill the tea!

Only the brave own jags and land rovers...
I’ve had 2 Jags and they were bulletproof… until the met Canada. First was a 96 XJ12 used, then a new ‘00 XJ6. Drove the snot out of those cars when I lived in the SW US. Oil, tires, brakes…I would own another jag if it was not a daily driver . Head gasket on our supercharged v8 was $2500. Not at the dealer , pothole chipped a rim , 4 new custom rims cost less that 1 jag wheel. At 60,000kms my mechanic said , you don’t want to own this car in the next 20k kms . Bought at 28k kms sold at 59,k loved it for 4yr occasional use .

Does he like mushy peas and warm beer?Have the air lift suspension on your Range Rover crap the bed and you will likely scrap the vehicle if you don’t have a guy in the know .
Aluminum engine in brothers Range Rover was punched at 80k . Too useless to run and too light to be a boat anchor . He’s on his 3rd , turbo diesel now because he likes that sort of misery .

Mazda had major issues with rusting until about 2010 or so. To the point of holes forming. How are Mazdas for rust these days?
We had a half dozen guys at work all with Mazda 3s (must have been a sale, actually all recent grads at the time and they bought the 3 as their first post school cars) and they were all starting to show rust spots (bubbling etc.) around the four/five year mark. These were mid 2010s models (2014 to 2016...). Hardly a statistical sample but there was a pastern and it gives me pause.
We used to tease them that we could hear their cars rusting in the parking lot....
I have a 2014 3 gt and its been great. Bought used in 2021 for $11k with 80k km. Zero rust at 180k km now. All I did was replace brakes, early oil changes and did a front suspension refresh this past fall. Drives like new and has the fancy pants android auto/carplay which is nice for the age of the thingHow are Mazdas for rust these days?

seems shockingly underpriced. Is it just a rolling chassis?Heck come buy this CX for $3500. For an extra $1000 I’ll leave the massive stereo in it so all of Toronto can hear your wild Polak music!
