I don't think you should fully trust facebook to be private, friends lists or not. There are loopholes galore for people to see your stuff, no matter how 'private' you think your settings are.
 
Hey guys, any ideas on how I could make my knee pucks look used?
Should I just take them off the suit and keep rubbing them on the ground?

I don't care...only people I'm worried about looking at it are the cops and thats the only reason it was made private.I could give a **** less what these self proclaimed posers think.
I'm sure cops could see it if they want, but they'd probably have to be tipped off which is unlikely since I only have a small number of close friends on FB and it'd still be somewhat harder for them than just posting it publicly.

really good tires but not too much longevity. My rear was done after about 8k. Get the 110/140 combination, it'll raise the ride height a bit but as long as you're not short you'll be good.

Didn't read the whole thread, but I think all people are different. I started on a 600 and I'm fanatic about dragging knee now, and I'm doing ok at the track. But I totally understand there could be people not taking interest in speed cornering (look at all the cruiser dudes, lol!). OP said he fancies Sportbikes, IMHO, he had a bit of experience on a 250 and doesn't sound foolish enough to go nuts on a big bike, in fact, I see myself in him when I started, he's clearly on the cautious side of the fence. I'd say, get a 1000, and I'm not kidding. Any bike can kill you. Difference between the 250 and 1000 is in the respect the bike deserves. If you're down to earth and you're not an idiot, you'll do just fine in a straight line. Then park it in the corners, but who cares, as long as you're getting the fun you want out of it. But if you want to corner hard, I agree you're better off getting the skills on your 250. It's all up to you. End.

Actually I saw the video, there is nothing for the cops to give you a ticket for, they could not see the speedometer and you guys (you and your buddy in front) were not really going fast.

You said gravel in the corner, funny that your buddy went through it and he didn't crash. Also if you you were trying not to hit the biker, means that you were looking at him in order to realize he was there, if you were looking ahead and through the turn (which you didn't even make it to) you would not have noticed the biker.

I am only posting this because you are showing off pictures of your tires and insulting people.

Everyone makes a mistake, learn from it and don't blame it on gravel, see what you did wrong (i certainly see it, it reminds me of mistakes I made in the past when I was a rookie), also it is way more challenging when you keep it between the yellow lines. You will probably take my post as insulting but I am trying to help you out.

Whereas the 600cc's will always be there waiting for when I'm ready. To be honest, I'm going to sound like a complete d-bag now but I don't really like cornering (granted this is possibly because I'm no good at it) - but I want to learn what the fuss it about and wouldn't mind taking a track day or two this summer. However, I'm just nervous being the new guy there, holding people up and getting the one finger salute at every corner while I screw up every one else's day.

No one's going to give u the finger...First rule of any track day...It is the more advanced rider's responsibility to around a novice rider if he/she wishes to do so...you do what you want to do at your own pace
