Ninja 250 to a 600cc SS

If you can't turn, you shouldn't be worrying about speed. Put the 250 into a full lean, look up push steering or watch some more GP racing. When you can lay it down, then get a 600.

+1 for Pirelli Sport Demons. Just had them installed on my Ninja500. Very excited to use them this season.

As for 250cc > 600cc Supersport.... I would NOT do it if you are (as an individual) so inclined to improve your riding skills (leaning, turning, etc) for the reasons many have already given. If you are, however, a (hate to use this word) more "mature" individual (read: not a testestorone-driven teenager) and really want an SS for the look, or the image, etc.. then go for it. You likely won't kill yourself, and you'll enjoy it. But do know, the 600cc SS definitely won't make you a better rider.

OP, if you haven't got an insurance quote for a 600cc SS bike, I think your quandry is probably futile. With a month of riding experience, you may well find that a 600CC bike is too expensive for your to insure anyway making this a moot point.

It looks like you weren't pushing hard enough.
Are you afraid to lean or what?

I know eh?

Rookies...
:lmao:

If you read my original post, you'd see that I already mentioned that I got my 600 quotes and they are incredibly reasonable to me.

And he brags about passing a fireblade doing 170.
Talk about straight line riding. lol

what a clown...

At what point is stating a fact bragging? I've ridden more than you have, I know what my bike is capable of and what a Fireblade is capable of.

Another fact, when you have larger tires on a stock rim it leads the sidewall being pinched which literally makes it impossible to get them all the way over.

You're doing a Rider's Choice trackday, which one? I'll come out as well and you can try and prove the **** you wanna talk in person on your GSXR.

....dude, no offense and no disrespect meant, but if you stopped acting as if you had something to prove I'm sure Mina and Paul would stop breaking your balls. Modesty and a beginner's mind is best =)

But I should really take my own advice and stop hating on ricer cars lol

Like I care what some keyboard warriors have to say. That picture was posted in response to you stating that a 250 can't be pushed hard. If that's "trying to prove something" so be it. I invite these guys to try and break my balls in person.

Paul is already ignored so I could care less what he has to say. I sent the man a PM and got no response, but he sure talks a lot of **** here. And I'll see what Mina has to say. Last time I checked I never saw a tire that shredded from straight line riding...

Edit: Modesty sure. Beginner's mind?? I don't think you realize I've been around longer than these guys and have probably ridden more than them too. I'm in my 5th season and here you are making assumptions.

Sorry, but I don't buy that. Your post count is less than either of those two (Mina & Paul). :D lol. I had to. I am joking, of course.

How is Pete's Superbike? I see their prices are very good but what other fees are associated with it? I see that they ship from Quebec. Also what should I be looking at for labour to get both sets mounted (I do not know how to remove the wheels myself) and do bike tires need to be balanced etc?
Both are good tires. Speed rating makes no diff. If you go wider on the rear it'll probably have a slower tip in which might give you more confidence (but slows down your left right transitions). Pete's is the best. Crazy fast shipping, excellent service. Call up Daniel and ask him how much to install if you ride in, ride out. Daniel balances both of them for ya. Pete can ship them right to Daniels ;)

I never claimed to be fast, so I'm not sure why you're so upset?
I'll be at Shannonville on June 26th.
Come out and say hello! :)

The GSX-R is strictly for posing, I don't really ride it, I bought a 600RR for the track.
I'll be the slowest guy there, so you can't really miss me.

LOL @ Bigger tires on stock rims, great excuse!
It's OK buddy!

yea...and you're clearly too new to know that we had a whole bunch of our posts wiped when Paul cleared up the system.

and if anything, I spend my time riding while these guys go around posting unhelpful ********.

Good. As long as my schedule allows I'll be the red 250 passing you in every corner. So, the GSXR is only for posing (why am I not surprised) and you have a dedicated trackbike, yet you'll still be the slowest rider there. What a rider you are, talking down to others. Do you realize how stupid you sound?

A stock 250 has a 110 front and a 130 rear. I was running 120/150 Pilot Powers which don't come in stock sizes. If you knew anything about how tire profiles or the sidewall works it would be a fact not an excuse to you. You're clearly uninformed and uneducated on the matter as well. Next time you're stopped by at Rider's Choice maybe ask John or Matt to give you a little lesson...

LOL... You're the one with chicken strips, I'm sure you could use some lessons here and there.
Nothing wrong with that, It doesn't make you any less of a man. No worries.

I like to pose man, there's nothing wrong with that.
That's why I only put ~1000KM's per season.

you're hopeless...

Funny how no one replied to the only girl that posted saying she upgraded the same year because her 250 wasn't enough for her.. I guess it is enough for many others

I like chicken!
