I'm going to get crapped on for this but i miss the 3+ person and motorcycle hov lanes we had during pan am. Made the commute to and from downtown go from 1hr down to 25mins

By the way, thanks so much for lending me your short-shorts the other day. I was going to return them to you but someone on this thread found out they were yours so I sold them, he has no idea I wore them last. Oddly I think he actually likes them more now... I will split the profits with you.

Hahaa I don't know whether to be flattered or not. The photo is deceiving because JawnLee is 6'4''... most would appear small in comparison.
is it enough for a new helmet or just ice cream?

On a serious note, they have pretty good deals at the motorcycle shows starting January or...the brand speed & strength has a sale on helmeto right now.

Is it safe to buy helmets online? I always feel like they might drop kick it to my front door. A friend was telling me the motorcycle shows don't have deals anymore... so he is refusing to take me.
Anyone willing to come along to the show come January?

I saw deals at all three bike shows last winter. Anyways what else is there to do but take pictures and dreamlike am so nothing a winter person. I ended up getting a shoei as it fit my brain better but at the time I was looking at Bell. Buying in person is always better, but if you do buy online find a biker who knows how to fit a helmet. It has to be tighter than anyone wants them to be, but not so it gives you a headache.

Very important. I replaced a piece of foam in one of my helmets that I've used a while. Half way into my commute it gave me a splitting headache. Pulled it out and cut it's thickness in half and it's been fine since. The half difference was literally 2mm.

Napster, if you are looking for a helmet, just a FYI that Royal Distributing has their tent sale starting again soon (just saw the email for it). That likely also means GP Bikes will have a 20% off sale too at the same time or shortly after.
GP Bikes also had a bunch of older helmets on closeout last time I was there.

Thanks, I will check out the website. I honestly don't know how to tell which brand is good, which are worthwhile or not. Aside from fit, for similar pricing, what makes it a good helmet?

Check out the HJC CL line of helmets. Good reviews, excellent value. I roll with the CL17 (lol, I know, sounds like a sailboat amirite) Anyway, I've gone the whole year without washing the liner. A lot more robust than my underwear that's for sure.
