Rubbermaid Ball'r?
The part has no real value used and you may never have used it, but they should have told you and should have replaced it as it was on the bike when you signed the paperwork. Legally they may have to replace it free but how much hassle is it worth to you.had a bad experience (in my opinion) with Hully Gully. Can I get your opinion on this if I’m right or wrong? Bike had centre stand when I signed the bill of sale at the end of March. I didn’t notice when I got the bike yesterday but after I came home, realized that centre stand was removed. Called them right away and they told me it had a crack on it and was removed for it to pass safety. Simply I demanded that it should be replaced instead of removal. They said they would get back to me, would try to arrange something with a discounted price etc.
Do you think this is a big deal? Should I insist for a new centre stand? Even if they install it for free, still extra kms for me to go back to London…

Yeah that would be a reasonable offer I should make. Thanks!Have them ship you a center stand and associated parts, no charge for the parts or shipping. You install.
I would demand this as a minimum. For a bike with a chain a c stand is super handy. Hell even w/o a chain it's nice.Have them ship you a center stand and associated parts, no charge for the parts or shipping. You install.

Hey fellow riders, my problem hasn’t solved yet but wanted to update just in case anyone considers doing business with Hully Gully.
(April 14) First approach of my sales associate (Rob) was that he would have a look at it as I mentioned on previous post.
(April 18) I sent email to Rob asking if there was any update. No reply.
(April 19) waited until the end of the day and called Rob. He started telling me it was removed for safety reasons etc. was trying to convince me. I asked him if they were tires, would they have sent me away with a bike without tires? Told him it was part of my bike when I bought it. Then suddenly conversion changed to “that’s why I am trying to find a centre stand for you” I said ok and started waiting again.
(April 21) received a generic email from owners thanking me for my business, will continue to provide excellent service etc.
(April 27) Asked again for update.
(April 28) reply “it is still on back order”
(April 29) I got tired of waiting and sent an email to owners that told briefly how bad was the service I received.
Today I received a call from Parts and Accessories Manager Eric. He started from same point. “Do you know why we removed the stand for?” Same conversation again. Then he said I was right. He asked me if I want something else. like rear stand etc. I insisted on centre stand. He said he would figure it out. Then we hang up. Now I returned to beginning.
I don’t get it. This shouldn’t be a problem for a dealer that size. If it was removed for safety why I wasn’t informed. Why didn’t they give me my “broken” centre stand back?
This one is in stock at Fortnine for the 2nd gen DL650 and if it works like on my DL650, then it's easier to lift the bike with this one and will have a higher ground clearance than OEM as well. See if they will compensate you if you bought it, and then install it for you, or they can lower the price of your bike by $400 and you install it yourself, which is quite easy.Hey fellow riders, my problem hasn’t solved yet but wanted to update just in case anyone considers doing business with Hully Gully.

It totally is!Wow, 400 bucks for a new centre stand... that's an expensive centre stand ... just saying!
Yes that’s true. But my points are; they aren’t even sorry, trying to discourage me from my complaint, not taking the responsibility by themselves. Why do I need to keep pushing them to fix their fault? If the stand is on backorder, you can't expect it to show up in a week and there's not a whole lot the dealership can do at that point. The fact that they're offering you something else of your choice is pretty good, especially if they're doing it based on the value of a new part, and you can find a used center stand on ebay or stromtrooper for less.
