Need Help! Frustrated because i cant find a bike in my budget

The guy agreed to give it to me for 2800$. Now the only issue is picking it up, any ideas?

Also he told me"It has a damaged break lever and some very minor scratches the person that had it before me dropped it but I had no problem getting a safety and I've never had one problem with the bike" also he assured there are no cracks on the fairings, only minor scratches.

It's always the previous owner that dropped it...

Why is that unreal? The wife pays $37 a month for hers and this is her first year with an M2 and she's under 30.

As for the OP trust me screw the used 250 market and walk into a dealer and buy one new. You can finance it inexpensive and it's open so pay it off early and it won't cost you that much extra. The wife just purchased a 2011 SE brand new for less then people were asking for a used one.

is that full coverage? I was quoted about 700/yr. Over 30, no recent tickets.

that's not nearly as amazing when you talk to other people that have bikes that are far more powerful\expensive that are paying almost the same.

100% full coverage $500 deduct 1 million liability. The bike in financed currently so it has all perils it's also on an "A" plan (not sure if it makes a difference but my name is also on the slip). I almost pay what you were quoted on my 07 CBR RR and I just turned 30. Both of us have a flawless record minus a no-fault accident where I was hit head on by a drunk driver. Who is your agent out of curiosity?

taxes, you can write 500$ on the receipt or UVIP and pay $56 bucks tax at the MTO.

now you have 3300 to spend on the bike.

Be careful with that, MTO randomly chooses private sales to verify the sale price.
If you say $500 and the seller says you paid $3,500 then you are in for the additional taxes
and whatever punitive damages they see fit. They also watch for sale amounts that are out
of line with other similar vehicle sales.

In 30 years of buying and selling vehicles I had never had any private sale investigated until
last summer. I received a letter from MTO asking the sale price for a travel trailer that I had sold.
The wording on the letter was enough for me to think twice when creating a receipt for a sale
or purchase.

Meh. As long as you both are on the same page, your clear. Besides once you get a letter like that, just throw it out. Dont respond to it ..

I'm with Jevco currently, at about $650/yr. The agent I called was in Cedar Pointe.

Bam. That's the holy grail of motorcycle insurance rates at State Farm. the 'A' Plan.

one day Statefarm...one day.....

I was supposed to go and see an '09 Suzuki Boulevard C50T for sale in Keswick on Friday, but was sold under my nose last night :-(

Gotta keep looking!

Jevco gave me a rate of $1500 (online). They were WAY off compared to TD and Riders Plus.

I am pretty sure TD online quotes are broken, cuz i called up last month and got a quote of 3200 for a ninja 250 (this was for month of march which is less than a year when i had my m2. i then tried the online quote and set that to next month (MAY, which is my full year of m2) and was quoted like 3000-3100 for my 250, from what i've seen that shouldn't be right so im pretty sure TD online quotes are wrong

I got a quote of $1100 from TD for full coverage.

Did we just hijack this tread and make it into a Insurance thread?? :p
