Need Help! Frustrated because i cant find a bike in my budget

Why don't you just go get a brand new one from the dealer and finance it? You can keep most of your money in your pocket (invest it or pay off debt or something), get low cost financing, a warranty, and it holds resale value really well. I went cbr250 (and I 'might' be having the rumoured problems, but I also have warranty to make them fix it), but the same applies to the ninja as well.

You may also want to go to a 500 though too with your weight. I'm 180lbs and find the 250 a little sluggish, even as a beginner. I can't see myself keeping it more than a year, maybe to end of next summer max depending how things go.

250 is really to begin with, will likely move up after an year. Hopefully i will be able to afford the insurance for it then as well :). So what do you say about CBR 250? I would rather ask you then some biased people who are trying to diss it for a Kawi 250.

you should wait guys. Never buy during spring. You get the most expensive deals.
I got a 2006 zzr600 for 3000$ at the end of December last year, the same model is 4500$ now. If you can wait till the End of may/beginning of June, you may find great deals. (Montreal dealers are selling the 2011 kawa 250cc for 4400$ New)
Also, the bike you're looking for is the most popular one. So you won't find a 4th gen newer than 2007 for less than 3800$, unless it has something to be fixed.
 
Damn, how did u get a insurance quote for $51??
I'm 33, and cheapest I got was $75/month with everything stripped down and no Collision coverage on a 250cc bike. (New M2 license thought)

AC's has some scratched fairings on one of the sides, still a huge bargain but I believe Freak wants no scratches

Keep in mind, just because someone is asking 4000$ it doesn't mean they won't settle for 34, 35, 3600 etc...
As long as you're not lowballing hard, you'll be able to find something to fit your budget for sure!

yea, that insurance quote is unreal. Even with 2 seasons on mine i can't get that low a rate from SF.

That bike has been for sale for a while. I'm guessing going on 3 weeks now. Mine only lasted a week and was tip top other than some rash marks from a low side. I suspect his hack paint job is putting people off. You should be able to get it under $3000 if you plunk down the cash right then and there.

he is right, i was looking for bikes last year Dec and i believe i saw that bike around, during Feb this year i saw that around again and was listed at 3400, you should be able to get it to 3000

Why is that unreal? The wife pays $37 a month for hers and this is her first year with an M2 and she's under 30.

As for the OP trust me screw the used 250 market and walk into a dealer and buy one new. You can finance it inexpensive and it's open so pay it off early and it won't cost you that much extra. The wife just purchased a 2011 SE brand new for less then people were asking for a used one.
