Need car now that it's cold. Any good audi dealer in west end??

U just hurt FMJ's feelings

Feelings? Here on GTAM? Yeah, right.

Like I've said several times on this thread, buy what makes you happy. BUT, if you're one of those people that bases their car purchase on pie charts in a magazine that also has a toaster shootout and an in depth article on bra construction, I feel sorry for you, and lump you in with the large portion of people on here that are not motorcyclists, but simply people that own motorcycles.

Are you saying I base my opinions on reviews from Magazines? LOL WOW!!

Did I mentioned I worked on the e46 since 2004? I know what fails in that car and at what mileage. If u asked me anything about the e46, most likely I'll be able to tell you.

My bro also owns an X5. I try to diagnose his problems too. My Friend has a CLK 350 & a SLK 550.

I was into cars before I got into motorcycle.

I'll just laugh at you and your comments. They're getting to be pretty entertaining :D

Bought our A4 at Queensway Audi last year.
Was able to get $2500 off of their list price so thought I did pretty well.
Decent service and I like that they have the concierge service which picks up and drops off your car and I live 35 km away!

Not sure if it still applies, when I bought my Q7 couple of years back, Audi had a corporate deal with my employer in which it would give7% discount off of MSRP half covered by the dealer and half by factory. It’s worth to check if the deal still exists.

These guys only do Audi, most trust worthy guys I know. I have been using them for 9 years.

Drove a friend's 2012 Q5. It's like going from Windows 7 to Windows 8

So.......
You're saying the Q5 is glitchy, over-priced and you wish you were driving the other car again? :)

I don't like the fact that everything is electronic. Simple things like the door lock and e-brake is electronic.
I sit in the car and I sit there for 5mins finding the e-brake to release it.

I am sure most luxury cars have reach that level where they want everything electronic. I'd hate if those things were to fail. Does that mean you'll be locked out? What happens when the battery fails? Can I not operate the e-brake?

I did the same thing when I test drove an S5 this summer ... I want a handle not a button.

I dont see why they couldnt leave well alone. Its like the start button for Windows. Has worked well for over a decade, but had to change it.

I swear u can control your car from your desktop

the TT RS has a lovely, traditional e brake :D

I'm not a fan of the electronic push button one either.

e-brakes are part of what make winter driving fun!

I have a new '13 Outback, it has the electronic brake. Not sure how a tradition e-brake would would work on an AWD system, but I am guessing it could be fun to find out.

Consumer Reports has the Audi Q5 on the "used vehicles to avoid list" along with several GM and Dodge models.

Such a shame, the Q5 is a stunning beautiful machine like most Audis, and I'd only keep it until the warranty expired.

.

It was my understanding that all vehicles required a 'manual' way to stop the car, should things start to fail. How do these electronic e brakes work when the battery dies/engine not working/etc. Used to be cable pulls the rear brakes, now?

Ram the gear selector into P.

I believe that some vehicles have an "emergency" brake and others like discussed above have an electric "parking" brake. My wife's had her Q5 for over 2 years and hasn't had any issues. The car dives great!
