Personality. A lot of fans like media-friendly personalities, and they'll villainize anyone who doesn't fit the mold regardless of talent.

Casey Stoner was a prime example. He was the biggest twat but I loved watching him ride a motorcycle over the limits. I'm not going to hang out with these guys and have beers with them, I just want to watch a good race and that's not going to happen if they crash out.

I remember everyone calling Dani "Pedrobot". Turns out the guy was just shy because his English wasn't very good. Now look at him shining in all the interviews.
 
If the film do come out on the theater, do me a favor and get out a watch it at the movies as well.

In the last year i have changed my opinion about Dany and Lorenzo, stoner still is a primadona but I wish he was still around.

After watching I said I would totally go see that again on the big screen!

I would watch every GP race on a big screen every Sunday if I could!
 
Yeah, I'm watching on my WD media player and no sub titles:( I'll have to stream it from the laptop using VLC and see if it works.

I've always wondered where the hate for Lorenzo stems from. I figured one, is that any threat to Rossi's legacy he's automatically hated especially by the yellow brigade.

I'm guessing another reason was (and still is) Lorenzo's mentality regarding other riders, right when he first entered the premier class. He's been quoted that he doesn't fear any rider including Rossi, and perhaps alot of people see this as a sign of disrespect? Frankly that's why i'm a big fan of him and his "I could care less what you think" attitude.

I've spent a ton of cash on the film already (BluRay shipped from the UK, iTunes UK, wuaki.tv from UK) but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the US version of the film as well as see it here in theaters. The movie creator said the film was really rushed to get finished in order to meet Universal Pictures deadlines. Since HE is doing the release for north america he's been able to source better audio for a bunch of the stuff and some more inside info, video, etc. Here's what he said about the north american release:

Here is the correct .srt file for English subtitles only over the foreign language parts (right click, save target as): http://tafb.xxx/Hitting the Apex (2015) 720p WebDL x264 AAC AC3.srt

Put the file in the same folder as you're playing the movie from, and don't forget to change the filename of this .srt file from 720p to 1080p if that's the movie version you downloaded.

I agree with all of this and will add that out of them all to see race in person. He is literally perfect. Same body position. Same line. Same everything. Every lap. His start in indy was spectacular. So he's not a people person. He's a focused racer with a ton of talent.
