MotoGP 2015

Looked like MM was just riding a fast track day pace. For someone who has his bike sideways all the time he sure looked like he wasn't trying very hard.

Look at the laptimes. 15 laps MM was faster than JL but never once tried to pass?

Then 3 laps left DP tries and all of a sudden MM remembers how to race.

I was watching a couple of feeds and everyone was commenting on why M was sitting back. Except the English commentary.

+1, again

as soon as DP closed in, it was so evident i don't even have words for it.
could the 2 honda's pass JL in the last 5 laps? the world would never know, but i'm willing to wager it was well within realm of possibilities
MM single-handedly sour the world title of 2015 start to finish

and 2016 will be a very interesting year
shoutout to old dogs saying motorcycle racing should be full of hot blooded rivalry, it doesn't get more nasty than this,
this year ended with everyone's masks off and true colors showing, and that's gonna fuel next year's all out war, dog eat dog style, and best believe the doctor will come back prepared for this kinda shenanigan

So we are engaging in this conversation? tell me clearly before I bother with a rebuttal

Nope, i'm done.

As per video, it looks like Vale is sticking to his word. Throwing out the accusations and not acknowledging Jorge as the champ. Great way to go out.

Thought you had nothing more to say on the subject

Since you can't seem to contain yourself I'll now offer up my rebuttal. Dani's comment about missing a gear was in reference to his losing touch on the last lap, not how Marc all of a sudden had some fight when Dani showed up and put a move on him. Furthermore; Vale is dead freakin right. Jorge once again had the pace in the first half, but he used up his tires (not the first time he's done this) and that is how Dani pulled back so much time; but wonder boy Marc didn't have enough to launch even one attack? The same Marc who in every other similar race over the last 3 years would try almost anything for the win, with little to no regard for the defending rider, yet he had nothing? Not even one attempt? Open your eyes dude.

Edit: Just to be vary clear, Vale said he was always prepared to lose the title to Jorge, but not like this. Don't think it's an unreasonable feeling on Vale's part

As much as I am a huge Rossi fan. I'm trying my best to look at things from a different perspective and try to enjoy MotoGP for what it should be. Great racing....I don't think any of us can disagree that Lorenzo has the personality of a pile of crap.. But from a racing talent view he is an amazing rider and in the end he did everything he needed to do to win the championship on his own merits. He cant control what Marc does. Lorenzo had to make sure that in order to take away any doubts he had to win the race. If the guy would just keep his mouth shut.... Rossi proved he still has what it takes to compete. Comming from last place and finishing fourth without any help from anyone ... well that was great to see...

Dani Pedrosa... good to see him come back from surgery and fight honestly for a win...

Marc... well it was obvious he was protecting Lorenzo.... not only did he not try to pass him once ... but he prevented his own team mate from challenging him. It was so obvious..

In the end it didn't matter . Rossi didn't finish high enough for it to matter. But at least we all now know where everyone stands...

I've never heard soo many boos for a champion on his home track like I did watching Lorenzo .

Marc.. MotoGP fans will never forget what you did to effect the outcome of what could have been a great racing season...It will follow you for the rest of your career in MotoGP....

I am ... let me rephrase .. Was a MM fan, when Rossi when off on him I though to myself, WTF is Rossi smoking but then watched the last two races and the one this morning, I am so disappointed at MM.

Just look at MM ridding body language one lap before DP passed him (Cruising) and his Body language and intensity once DP passed him, that tells the story forgetting any other context. His intensity went from a track day in red group to final lap to decide the racing championship.

Can anyone who's ever raced imagine easily running faster laptimes than the guy in front of you for 7 laps and never showing him a wheel? Hahaha. Sure MM.

I agree with much of what you're saying but....

I truly feel that if Marc had not put the cherry on the top of his little revenge cake today, Dani would have passed Lorenzo in the final couple of laps, as his rear was cooked, by his own admission. Honda would have finished 1-2, and Vale would have been champion. It is my honest opinion Marc, not for one single second, had the intention of getting in front of Jorge, who I agree did his best today. But if we had seen Marc's best, it would not have been enough

Please forgive me if I'm missing or forgot something since the race this morning as I have a rich and interesting life outside MotoGP but didn't DP run wide and also miss a shift and, besides quality, isn't job 1 to beat your team mate? As for MM not even attempting even one pass on JL this leaves me no choice but to cancel my MotoGP subscrip....wait, ok I will watch MotoGP for free but under protest next year.

The most agressive rider in motogp did not even show 99 a wheel for 10 laps, yet made an incredibly agressive pass back on Dani immediately.

I've never been a fan of any rider. But after this season, i really like DP. His riding style and the way he shoot out of the apex when the fuel tank is near empty (lol)

He also speaks like a mature gentlemen. I really hope next season, the JL and MM duel crash and retire early so we can have the championship back.

For anybody keeping score my feelings toward DP are and have always been ambivalent but without malice. I hope this changes for the better in the offseason. I only know four riders but can't muster enough hate to cover the lot.

Though I've lost all respect for JL off track, I must say he did nothing unsporting on track at any point I can remember this season. Marc... crash away.

Yup... Seeing how Marc has shown us repeatedly over the years that he feels one only needs to get the front wheel to the back of your leg for the pass to be fair game; I don't see how todays prceedings can be seen any other way

Well with so many Spaniards in the field, it'd take a serious helping of Hateraid to cover the lot

Millions don't and won't acknowledge Lorenzo as the champ.

Millions of Valentino fans, yeah. It's one thing to hate a rider, but to discredit his championship title is another. Lorenzo's fought back all year and kept it close for him to even have a chance. He wasn't even directly involved in this whole bs, kept it all on the track, and still they say he doesn't deserve it. Typical and frankly not surprised of the behaviour.

Thought you had nothing more to say on the subject

Um that was my point with Dani. Marc was able to pass Pedrosa because he made a mistake and ran wide. Not because Marc had a sudden urge to protect his so called best friend.

And yeah, I do have my eyes opened. I try to be as unbiased as possible. You questioning as to how Marc rides, then explain to me why no one brought up his riding in Indy this year? If you don't have a subscription, i'm sure johnscruiser has it in his archives. He was clearly the fastest man that weekend, and came race time, he stalked Lorenzo not showing a wheel pretty much all race. It was only near the end when he decided to go for it. Perhaps he had that same plan in Valencia, except this time Dani showed up and threw a wrench to that plan. So yeah...I don't know. You tell me. Would people be crying collusion if Marquez was 5 seconds behind Lorenzo? Probably. But even that result wouldn't have changed anything, even if Dani had won.

And to play devil's advocate, Dani was struggling at the beginning part of Valencia. So what he did was to conserve and see if he can up his pace in the latter part of the race. I don't see anyone saying about this scenario being far-fetched. Yet when Marc explained it in PI, it was bullsh*t? Why the double standard? Why is no one commenting on Petrucci clearly moving over for Rossi? Is there collusion there?

Lets sum up this 2015 motoGP with this from our champ Lorenzo , shall we?

Lorenzo telling the Movistar MotoGP channel: “They knew what I had in play. The fact they are Spaniards like me helped me.

“That helped me because for sure in another kind of race they would have tried to overtake, which they didn't this time.

“If Valentino had been in my position and with Italians behind they would have done exactly the same. The title had to be for Spain.”\

I'm gonna order new set of "Spain No. 1 " fairing for my bike now. :p.................LOL
