MotoGP 2014

Honda resigned Dani after letting a monkey test his bike. Dani was faster so he stays.

Again, it's Stoner and Marquez who are able to put it on top. Yamaha would have gotten more constructor's titles if Rossi had been there instead of Spies. I'm not saying the bike isn't slightly better but the rider still makes the difference.

If Rossi could qualify worth ***** he could give Marquez a good run at the front. But because he always starts 2nd row (or worse, at the back in the pit) and then sneaks his way up, it's way too late because Marquez is miles ahead of everyone.

Dramatic start, never seen anything like it!

This race became boring once a certain rider got through..... Ahem MM.....Overcomes what ever gets thrown at him!!

Pedrosa doing he's best for #2....

Great battles for other spots on the grid and good to see Cal and Dovi battle a bit.

Had Rossi made the same choice he did at Assen, he may of finished better. Good to see Lorenzo find some confidence especially in those conditions and get the last spot on the podium. I wonder if this will secure the second rider for Yamaha?

Great ride by Iannone, pushing for that factory ride!

Bad luck Bradl..... Right tyre choice but apparently bike set up wasn't 100%

Summer break now.... Can't wait for the next part of the season.

Also haven't seen the Moto2 race but this picture so far and damn!!!!

Yeah, steel brake rotors which overheated straight away he said, had horrible braking performance all race :( Was really hoping he was going to win!

And FYI, everything up on the server. WSBK USA/Laguna Seca on the way up too (quali up).

omg can someone just beat MM already! lol

and... are factory hondas really that much faster than every other bike on the grid? MM and DP started so far behind and still caught up to everyone in no time. the two hondas passed everyone like they were riding 250cc lol

MM also said in the post-race interview that they made the decision to use wets based on what Rossi & Pedrosa picked; he said they were the only championship contenders. So even if all three of them got it wrong, it wouldn't affect the championship as much. He wasn't racing Bradl or Abraham for the championship.

MM is the #1 rider on the #1 bike, he's going to sweep MotoGP 2014 & 2015. We're only going to see a change in 2016 when the software spec. & tire manufacturers change. The races are far from boring, if anyone watched last year's F1 races after the summer break... Sebastian Vettel cruise-controlled the rest of the calendar.

Bradl could've won the race, or at least fight for podium positions. The problem was his bike wasn't setup for slicks.

The LCR Honda Team ****ed him over big time, he should've just went out with wet tires or at least wheeled the dry-setup bike to the grid (not sure about rules). I can't imagine what track conditions would've suited Bradl's wet bike w/ slick tires.

My understanding is that LCR Honda has the exact same factory bike (RC213V) as Repsol Honda. It even has the Seamless Gearbox. http://www.lcr.mc/eng/team/the-bike_ID_4.htm

The only difference are the riders, setup and maybe software.

At the start, Lorenzo clearly crossed the dividing line between pit lane and the main track. Is there no penalty for that?

Number 9 and counting .... the only remaining question to be answered is whether he wins it all this year. Barring any technical DNF, it doesn't seem to me that anyone has any sort of an answer.

They didn't set it up that way on purpose. They dropped a spacer, couldn't find it and ran out of time to make the rest of the changes.

Self regulated. There was no heat in the brakes and he moved to avoid hitting someone. Once they were on track he raised his hand to acknowledge his mistake and let the two riders he passed go by.

Marc Marquez...wtf man soooo much skill...

9 outta 9...is that even possible!!!!!!!!

Marquez has definitely deserved his 9 in a row, unquestionable skill, top machinery, and he is finding grip in these tires and getting them to work for him better than anyone else on the track; and when hes needed it he's had the luck too, getting his opponents to make mistakes to let him get past and finish first. Qatar/Mugello/Catalunya were all coin flips, Rossi or Lorenzo both ran a bit wide a couple times in the lead on the last lap or 2 leaving room for Marquez to get by, and I think Dani would have won if he didn't bump into the back of Marquez. It's already been the oddest season I can think of for MotoGP, and we still have half the season to go!

That is true, however Bradl should have taken the opportunity to run into the pits and swap for his second bike. He admits as much in the post-race interview, saying he made the mistake of staying on track to get the head start, despite the poor bike setup. It was a little foolish to think those few seconds and the slow pack of riders was going to be enough of a head start to finish in a good position.
