MotoGP 2012

Switching that stuck up of stoner for Marquez, he can retire tomorrow and lets get Marquez in for next race for all I care

Weren't they talking about not letting rookies join factory teams right away and making them ride a crt first, which wouldn't let marquez join honda in his first season?

Not allowed to join a factory team but it doesn't have to be crt. Marquez would end up on a honda satellite team.

More rumors from Italy that Rossi could have is own Yamaha team sponsor by Coca cola- or go with Honda with Gresini team!?

I wonder how Stoner's retirement will effect his legacy? He has routinely beat Rossi however he hasn't had the same longevity, and more importantly, world championships. Ironic that last year he told Rossi that "his ambition outweighed his talent" and now it seems as though Stoner's talent outweighs his ambition. He often comes across as prickly and cold, but man can he ride.

It may take quite a few years before Stoner gets the credit he deserves. When people look back on the careers of most riders, the typical question is what if. What if he didn't break his leg, hip, scaphoid... What if he stayed with that team, etc. With Stoner, he is making the decision, way too early in my opinion, to go out on top. The only question that can be asked is how many more championships would he have won?

"And this latest development means that a door might have opened for Valentino Rossi. At this point, anything is possible. We have to think about it, and I'll have to talk directly with Honda Motor; before the sponsors, they are the principle party to consult with."

I wouldn't say routinely. Rossi has 08 and 09 championships vs Stoner.

Well, I'm a huge Rossi fan, and as hard as it is to admit it I think that Stoner has gotten the best of Rossi numbers wise.

Maybe "routinely beaten" isn't the best way to state it, however the numbers do favour Stoner. The talent that both the riders have is immense, too bad that Stoner is going to hang up the leathers so soon. Maybe we'll see him in V8 Supercars? In a few years we'll see Rossi in WSB or World Rally?

Too bad as far as Stoner. But why not, if he doesn't have fun ....

You couldn't do that today. Not with todays machinery and riders. When was it the last time rossi did that? A decade ago?

He was doing it right till he broke his leg on the yamaha. Not a decade ago.

The only thing I'll remember about Stoner is that he was a crybaby right to the very end. Even at his retirement press conference he was whining. Stoners legacy=crybaby.

Well done Rossi. Now get it sorted in the dry :)
