It's nice but sand would be better for us.
You won"t see sand or gravel much any more around the world. Cars hate it and it casues yellow flag delays.
The grass casues cars to increase the distance they need to stop as it has less resistance especially if wet.
Pavement allows a car to run off, spin out and re enter with nothing more then a local yellow.
The problem with pavement is it makes the corner less intimidating. So for cars and bikes guys will try more in that corner.
Where as before they would be a bit more conservative. The problem for bikes is,like I said before you use the run off to save yourself.
If the run off is not swept or blown it is just as dangerouse and you would be prone to tucking the front.
It will save a lot of smaller crashes and reduce the risk in some cases. But if you get outside the first lane of pavement you may be at as
much risk and going faster then ever if it is not cleaned.
Mosport over the last 30 years has had it's cycles. Two years ago when the car industry was in the toilet we had more track days there then ever before.
Then the car industry picks up, new owners,,,screw the bikes,,less days,,,then the car industry fades, more bikes and so on and so on. I expect you will see a reduction in bike days at Mosport for at least two years. But from a promoter perspective more days is not allways better. With the costs of Mosport and the $7000 haybale ticket,, if they don"t sell out the income is slim. So sometimes the bike industry suits less days. So get to the show and Book your Pro 6 days. The more they sell out the better chance you have of another day next year.
