Doesn't seem like it.

I mean if this is mission critical system like it seems, how many hours are we at. Then whatever is causing the issue they should be able to swap out either the gear/device for a working one, or reload from a backup congfig/system, or re-route to another route. If power related then have a backup power of some sort. I'm sure they must have procedures like this but I dunno doesn't seem effective.

Seems to be a wide spread internet outage going on in Southern Ontario. I'm with Teksavvy and you can't even call them as their phone lines have been impacted. Using my mobile which still works. Since I can't do any work this morning thought I would call around for some parts. Can't get through to HD either.

I'm on "Rogers" for the day, occasionally tethering off of my phone :sneaky:...

Definition: Actually on Bell but only responding to emails when when the guilt builds up, planning my weekend ride in between. Unethical? Perhaps... Damn does it feel good though.

I had this feeling too, but this isn't the first time in recent memory that Rogers has had a massive outage. Could have been an attack back then as well.
 
I say everyone go riding. Pay for gas with cash.
If the boss tries to reach you just say your phone/internet was down.
Ride safe.

At Wonderland today. It took over almost 25min to park, then 20 min to get a ticket, and a further hour to get through the gates. But, because of the backlog to get in, once in you can almost walk on any ride. My daughter and her friend are loving it.

All because the internet is down.
 
I see Rogers posting about their outage on various platforms.
I wonder which ISP they are using to send out these updates. lol
Would it be their MLSE partner in crime.... Bell...??

My personal phone started acting weird at 4:30am - some things would load quick and others not at all, couldn't send a text or call. Got a text on my work phone at 5:15am and then lights out after that. They've been updating all the towers in our area so we thought it was something to do with that, obviously not.

Everything for me seems back up and running now tho
 
Did Teksavvy beat Rogers getting back up?

Nope, teksavvy customer. They use Rogers network.

I wonder if anyone advised Rogers to unplug their modem for 5 mins and plug it back in.....:cautious:
