MAPLE LEAFS SUCK

Guess what, this year they don't suck. Well except for tonight's performance.

Looking really good to make the playoffs, can't wait to see the amount of band wagoners that jump on board in the next few weeks.

They're still not winning a cup until at least 2067. Maybe they'll make first round this year but in the end, they suck :D

Thats just because they are always good at the beginning of the season (Which technically it still is with the short season).
They should die off in typical Leaf form right around playoff time.

Go Habs

Been pretty consistant this year, good team to watch. Love to drop the gloves, and the whole team with the exception of Phaneuf works hard, nothing like the past previous teams.

Lets hope the Habs fold like a cheap suit Saturday night, a'la earlier this year :)

I've never liked Phaneuf, but I thought he's been playing good since they cut his ice time down.
It's JVR that makes my head spin. 15 - 16 goals - most of which are point shots that bounce off him.
If he played as well as he pilons in front of goalies, his NHL presence could be justified. He just won't work, and Carlisle still gives him ice time?
IMO - they'd get more out of any left wing Marlie.

JVR has gotten a lot less ice lately, at least next to the start of the year. Like you, I do hope he gets it together.

I give Carlyle and Nonis props for bringing up Ryan Hamilton (Marlies captain) and giving him quality ice. He has stone hands but plays great defensively, plays the boards well and gives 100% effort.

Grabovski has played crappy lately as well and he isn't getting much ice.

Imagine if the Leafs had made a coaching change sooner... who knew they had so many decent pieces and that Kadri was so good?

I'll be the rain cloud. I already can't wait for the excuses all over the news and radio as to why they f****d it up in the first round :lmao:

Geez I really hate when people say this. You're only supposed to like a team if they're good!!! It's like the standard theme of all people that like ****** teams to call everyone else a "bandwagon jumper". STFU and be happy that other people actually like your team, for once. Ugh.

(Sorry if that seems too personal, I don't know you, lol)

Good point. What some people fail to realize is that those teams are money-making businesses and don't have true roots in the community like many European and South American sporting clubs do. Many of those clubs started as trade associations, union clubs, army clubs etc etc etc At the very least they've been developing talent locally in the community and only bought what they were missing. MLE has been making a killing, but they didn't bother with putting together a true playoff contender simply because they were making money anyway, so why bother. Couple that with their lack of true community roots and no wonder there are so many bandwagon jumpers. Why would I buy their tickets/merchandise/watch their commercials if the money they're making off that isn't being invested in giving the community a winner?

Team is *****, not the fault of the coach.

Finally that building got a taste of a real victory last night.

Great win.
I was a bit concerned in the 3rd period. It looked liked the "tenants" style had rubbed off.
A lot of tired youngsters on the ice last night - both sides.

Take Nonis, the fat kid and the pylon with you...
