but its not so much Van Ryan that is the focus...the focus in on the (i dont know for sure) $4million that they now have to spend.
now....should this be any other team that functions normally..they would go out and spend that money on a good hockey player(s). some one young...on the upswing...looking for a new place to play hockey.
look at the guys that have signed for $4million or less this offseason...some of those guys would help the leafs.
BUT...since this is toronto..... they will mostly likely go get someone who is ready to retire....pay him $4million and watch him have no impact for the leafs....sound familiar??? yes..it does...admit it...its happened before.
OR. they will prolly offer Mats another $4million.

riiiiiight. well, another four or five years and we can start this rivalry again. Unfortunately, I would imagine by then (if not sooner) the Sens will be "rebuilding".

A long season, but long over due as well. Dismantling the Leaf's should have happened ages ago. Gotta start somewhere, and I'm excited for the team to be competitive (read: Playoff bound) again.
well ive jumped off the leaf wagaon but i must say they looked very impressive against the wings lastnight. The way they played showed they are into Wilson's plan, it was like watching san jose lastear.

Remember when they hired Maurice? And I was defending Quinn and trashing Maurice?? Called that one right, I must say. :lol: You know, I saw Don Cherry on TV last night saying he thinks the Leafs are going to make the playoffs. You know, he's a blowhard, but he knows hockey. I have an inkling of hope that they may actually be better than dead last!! :lol:
Vince Lombardi could have coached that team and they still would have sucked balls

As opposed to Maurice?? Hmm..Quinn's lifetime coaching average is something like .632..what's Maurice's?? Tell me who has a better lifetime coaching average than Pat Quinn..what kind of names come up? Buncha stiffs I'm sure..
You best request your own parade permit from City council. That's the only way Leaf fans are getting one this season.
