FWIWThe bike I should have bought in the first place!
I got my licence last year (I'm one of those mid-life crisis types!) and I bought with my heart and purchased a KTM Duke 390. I pretty much hated it from the second day... the bike although cool looking was very jerky in traffic and not comfortable at all.
When I dropped it in for a service I was given a CB500f as a loaner.....WOW! what a difference. So much smoother, calmer and comfortable. It may not look or sound as good as the KTM but it rides so much better.
I traded the Duke in on the Honda the next day and have never looked back.
Love the retro look of those bikes.View attachment 71755
2020 RE Bullet - in love with that seat. Not so much with the weight or 5 speed tranny. 27 HP is just okay for here. 11k km so little ridden. 31.7" seat height it okay. Really retro.
2020 Royal Enfield Bullet. Great condition. Nice learner bike. Comes with a heap of extras (not pictured). 350cc LAMS approved. Regrettable sale. Price is negotiable. Pick-up Tolga. No tyre kickers.

The Royal Enfield Bullet Trials 500 has trials heritage, a homage to Brittain's trials success in the 50's. Can this modern machine live up to it's name?bikereview.com.au
I am sure I would have lost my license if I had one.Won't be on my target list but how do you only ride this gorgeous Hyabusa 17k km in 15 years,

Damn I am flattened after a 300 km ride and he's 10 years older. There are bikes I have not ridden so I can't say what is "Best", but I have now done 300,750 km (187,000 miles) on my CB500F and she has never let me down. I turn 87 in Feb, so probably qualify as "older rider". I live in Lismore, NSW. Australia so can ride all year and we travelled 52,900 km, together in 2024, our longest day's ride being 640 km. She will probably out-live me. Is there anywhere a CB500 that has travelled further? She may not be best, but I would not swap her.
In great condition. The Yamaha MT-07 (2016) is a naked middleweight motorcycle that stands out for its balance of performance, agility, and affordability. It features a 689cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which produces around 74 horsepower and 68 Nm of torque. This engine configuration provides a punchy mid-range, making it suitable for both city commuting and weekend fun on winding roads.has been well-maintainedand has had its major service at 40,000 km
By comparison by CB300F was 150 kg with less than half the HP and the GS 170kg with about 1/2 the HPThe 2016 Yamaha MT-07 has a curb weight of 182 kg. The wet weight of the Yamaha MT-07 is between 395–399 lb (179–181 kg)
Likewise! I'd love to try one some day though...just for kicks. One of the members here offered me to try his Busa when I had my 250...I passed because I def didn't have enough experience to jump on that monster.I am sure I would have lost my license if I had one.
They measured a top speed of 238.01 km/h (147.89 mph), 0 to 1⁄4 mi (0.00 to 0.40 km) time of 12.13 seconds at 173.33 km/h (107.70 mph), 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) time of 3.80 seconds and 0 to 100 mph (0 to 161 km/h) time of 10.51
The H1 had a high power-to-weight ratio for the time, 45 kW (60 hp) and a dry weight of 384 pounds (174 kg), comparable to a top racing motorcycle, but had generally poor handling and weak drum brakes front and rear. It could accelerate along the 1/4 mile test course in 12.4 seconds.
