Macdocs Lament ••• Forks - same old same old, maybe a bit better.

Thanks. Yes recovering well...next week is second fracture clinic and should get clearance for full weight bearing on leg ...not sure on the arm tho it's nearly full use.

Oppenheimer is incredible.....highly recommended in 70mm. First excursion out since accident and 7 hours in the wheelchair was a chore but in a good cause.
My phone giving me bucky beaver teeth again...

No worry for asking....his glioblastoma....which is always fatal and too often rapid, has spread to his spinal corner. No one survives it... :(
He's had the brain tumour for a couple of years but it was stage two and controlled.
Progressed to stage four earlier this year and became very aggressive and in a spot not reachable by any treatment.
Just glad I decided to come over.

Sorry to hear md. Brain cancer is awful. Glad you get to spend some time with him now. Parents outliving kids is almost as bad as it gets.

Once cancer takes over the control centre, predictions are difficult. I lost my brother to it. It's a helpless feeling, more so for you, losing a child. I don't know what else to write. Sorry isn't enough.

Off to Swiss Chalet for supper with the kids - ironically it's on the corner I had the accident
Gonna wear my slightly worn mcycle jacket and helmet for a fun entrance with my "new wheels".
Trying to find my gloves. 🥳

Got a laugh with "new wheels" entrance

Kid n I were across from each other in wheelchairs....he had a monstrous appetite - likely steroids and I had very little thanks to Ozempic but Kenz finished mine and we all did justice to desert Apple pie ala mode.
He felt good playing host and paying for all.

A few more outings planned.

Things progress.....stretchy blue shorts and one of my riding shirts makes for a faster method to get to lunch and look civilized instead of institutional. Actually glad of th4 50 spf rating on the shirt. Sunburn weather
