Grr. Easy opportunity to accidentally get pinched between the cars and break his legs there. Makes it easier for the cops to find him and much harder for him to try again.
Am I a bad person for hoping he would've been pinned b/w the 2 vehicles?

It's easy to make that mistake in the heat of the moment. There is also no guarantee this is over when you drive away as dirtbag has a chase car.
Anybody know how insurance treats this? At-fault crash for the guy getting carjacked?
The way things are going, probably charged with leaving the scene too.

Buddy's car got stolen last night. 2min from approach to drive away. Weird that his cameras didn't see the actual entry into the car, but they did capture the kid driving away.

Motion detection in the dark with obstacles isn't simple. Turn the sensitivity too high and every snowflake generates an event. I have most of my cameras recording all the time.
