I'm partial to the original Stingray '63-'67 myself.

My grandpa had one of these, only the colours were reversed. I can remember being about 6 and going out for a cruise with him... Even at a young age I thought that car was awesome.Old friend of mine found this in a barn, somewhere in Kentucky in '69 or '70. Only had ~4500 miles on it - all paperwork / build sheet etc.
He's owned it ever since. (frame off resto a couple times)
I like the way GM (somewhat) incorperated the grill on the '14, to the '56 (sorry SunnyS).
This pic is fairly recent. (vanity plate 056 was taken - he had to settle for 560)
It can usually be seen at Mapleview Mall on old car nights in the summer.

No need to apologize. I absolutely love the old vettes and Z28s, and GTO's and my personal dream fave when I was growing up, the Buick Regal Grand National, esp the limited edition GNX.
Around 82-84 is when GMs downward spiral (some would argue it started in the 70s and I won't totally disagree), with the new Z in 82, and the Vette in 84.
IMO, the downward spiral started much earlier - the catalytic converter being the crucifier.
Sadly - it was almost too rare to see a GNX - nice ride tho.
My fav's are still the '69 - '70 442 / W30 (31). I must have owned a dozen 69/70 Cutlass', but never a 442 :-(
I got an ins quote for a '13 Vette a while ago. Was going to be a bit less than my F150 (which is cheap to insure).
If the '14 Vette is just as reasonable to insure - I'll be on the waiting list for one in grey. I really like what they've done to it - even the looks of rear end is growing on me.
Even earlier than that. American cars were crap from the end of WWII. The manufacturers approached design with one simple philosphical perspective; bigger. It's an indication of the sickness that was the US mindset at that time, that they managed to be successful for a few decades before reality caught up to them.
The golden era of American cars is now. Hell, even the Cruze and Fiesta are great cars.
LMAO.......please.........for me, it's too early in the day for that kind of belly laugh. (Cruze & Fiesta = great cars.........LOLOLOLOLOLOL)
p.s. I still can't stop laughing, after reading the Fiesta is a 'great' car.........LOL.
Do NOT under estimate the Cruze.
