Like watches? post a pic of your watch, and a pic of your favourite watch

hahaha I was just about to say that I'm waiting for a hipster to post with a g-shock watch!

I was into watches before they cool.

I bought this bad boy for like $100 on ebay 2 years ago. It does the job pretty good. I need a slimmer watch for when I'm wearing fancy clothes, though. This thing is pretty bulky.

Love 'em. Can't really afford anything good though. I used to have the idea that I would one day buy myself a watch from Ball Watch Company. Then I found out the model I like is around $4000 US. I don't think I'll ever have enough disposable income to be able to justify spending $4k on a watch. Heck, that's about the value of both my cars put together, lol (I also like old Euro cars). I'd rather waste my money on vehicles (every other day I see a car I want to buy, or a bike I want, or lately I want to get a pair of jetskis for next summer).

+1

I remember walking into a store and asking how much one of the Breitling's went for. I think I turned white when he showed me the $4000 price tag. That was one of the cheapest ones, too.

I cant figure out the picture post thing

I'm wearing a Tissot PRC200 black face crono

I have a Brietling crono automatic i like very much

I'm saving up for a Rolex blackface stainless Submariner, I may have to sell a kidney

I have a Tissot T-touch I want to get rid of. What a piece of garbage

people still use watches? really?
i have not put on a watch in years!

are these the same people using a disk-man, and playing N64? lol

Watches not only define a man, it gives him character :)

Oh yeah?? Well when the nuclear weapons start exploding and the EMP kills all the electrical..awww, nevermind.. :-)

Actually, my bro is the watch-whore..I have one indestructible, waterproof to 600' watch and that's it. They interviewed Nico Rosberg a while back and to paraphrase: "Women have all kinds of accessories..bags, purses, sunglasses, earrings etc. Men, we only have watches and sunglasses! So you'd better get them right! Make sure you have sunglasses and watches for all different occasions.." I nearly spit my Wheaties out..

I told my ex, jewelry is to women and watches are to men. Adds class to a man

for less than 4000, you can buy a good entry level luxry watch from many Swiss watchmakers.

I used to have something like this! Just a blank bezel until you pushed the button at which point you'd have the time in lovely LED red.

Thing ate batteries like candy.

lot's of deals in the "previously loved" market too

the Oris I picked up last yeah from a local guy retails for almost $3k...it was barely worn, not a spec of damage anywhere and I paid $1k

surf the f/s forums at www.watchuseek.com and have a look at the resale prices and you may not ever want to buy retail again

Awesome thread is awesome.

Damn you guys sound like my dad. Nice collections but I would rather use the money for tools or gear.

Saving? Mauro doesn't leave home with less than $30K on him :-)

lol! if you drop the "K", you're in the ballpark.

If I drop my "K", I'm out quite a few bucks!

I like watches and sunglasses too....but recently I've been having fun buying excellent fakes for a fraction of the price. My fave watch is a Tag Heuer Aquaracer that's been going strong for years...had plenty of compliments on it which makes me smile as my sister got me it in Asia. Can't justify the massive price tags of the originals but for under a hundred bucks some excellent copies can be found. There's plenty of terrible fakes too though.

No love for Longies? I bought my father a Longines Heritage collection L4.746.8.72.0

I personally have a Bulova and an Orient.

Jewelry makes a woman. A watch makes a man...
