Like watches? post a pic of your watch, and a pic of your favourite watch

If that's a down payment on a second home, I want to see your house.

" the designer brand has indeed taken the meaning of exposure to new levels with this all-sapphire RM56 timepiece. Just like most of his other brilliant works, this one too will be a limited edition of 5 units, each with a price tag of $1.65 million"

Mille also makes the world's most expensive diver watch!

Hahaha, think of it as fake minus any branding. Fantastic watch btw, keeps great time and I don't mind beating the crap out of it

Yeah that's pretty cool, I just looked Getat up on the web to see what its all about. Did you order direct? Impressions?

I ordered directly from him, you can customize it with any of the matching parts that he has listed on his site. The strap is very nice for the price as well. I opted for the superlume and sapphire crystal. Not too sure the sapphire crystal was a good idea as it reflects like a mofo, don't know if the mineral crystal is any better. He times the movement too, mine runs within a few seconds a day.

Downside is he's super slow at communicating and getting the watch out, mine took 6-8 weeks to get to me from what I remember.

Pretty cool. I always loved the simplicity of Panerai designs but never liked their prices, and I never wanted to get a straight up fake. This Getat thing is nice because it doesn't actually say Panerai anywhere, but it has the design.

Hey regder can you measure the back of your watch for a diameter? If I understand correct, the dial itself is 44mm which means the outside diameter of the case is probably frickin huge. I looked through the thread posted above and some of the photos of the 44s on peoples wrists look stooooopid, because they're way too big.

(or am I wrong and the actual case is about 44mm?)

The case measures just under 44mm without the crown. It also has a pretty short lug to lug. Unless you have a super small wrist, it will wear just fine

So my snivling has paid off and my brother has passed over his previously loved Brietling, problem is the band is wrecked from something stupid he did.
Its a band that has to curve to fit into the lugs , it has the huge case so its rounded between the lugs. Brietling wants $600 for a bracelette , I dont wish to spend that, any ideas on a fix?

I've got a dozen+ watches in my collection but my daily driver is an Invicta automatic diver pro, takes a beating and still looks good.

In fact I own two just incase one goes south.

Anyone using a iPod (6th) as a watch? I'm tempted to pick up a iPod + Lunatik strap and wondering if it's too bulky.

My Invicta def gets the most wrist time, great value considering the price. I got the coin edge bezel with the new NH35A movement. I also swapped out the blingy bracelet for silicone strap with a deployment clasp.

Where do you guys buy your watches? I got an ecodrive for my birthday and it's not quite 'me' so I want to throw in a few bucks of my own and buy an everyday watch. Nothing flashy, just something for everyday at the office and a golf shirt on Saturday. I'm thinking in the $500 range.......any suggestions??

I normally buy either grey market, charity auction or clearance watches. I have never had a watch fail during the warranty period (and have averaged less than 50% of MSRP). For a $500 budget that's the way I'd go again. If I was spending serious money on a watch I would have to reconsider my options.

Amazon is pretty good for selection and prices. While you don't get the factory warranty, you get a 2 year Amazon warranty.

Don't know what your style is but there's a a lot of nice watches in your price range. The Tissot PRC200 is a great all around watch.
