That's damn quick. The perp may have been under surveillance, maybe it was serendipity that they were driving near there at the time the call came in, as that time is unheard of.

Downtown barrie is not a good place (especially at night). I would hope they spend most of their time patrolling down there.

I wonder who is pulling the strings to make the default reaction to a bail violation granting bail again?
It is appalling that breaching bail isn't an automatic trip to the slammer unless you can come up with a very convincing reason why it won't happen again.

Police say 45-year-old Keith Theodore Constantin was arrested for breaching conditions placed on him by the courts. He was held for a bail hearing and released the following day.

According to police, Constantin has previously been convicted of sexual assault, sexual assault with a Weapon, assault with a weapon, assault, robbery, possession of explosives, uttering threats, and failing to comply with probation orders.

This could get interesting. If this law applies on what is ostensibly private property, then does that mean a cop can charge you for using your cell phone in your own driveway or a shared residential parking lot? The latter is much akin to the drive through, from the point of view of 'public access', which is how many traffic laws are applied on private property.
At least this was in SK and isn't an incident in ontario (yet).

Happened to one of the former members here. Can't remember his name. Started with a D. Raced SM. Died a few years ago. @Gary knows him. He was stopped in Timmy's drive-through in Mississauga and a cop walked up to his window and ticketed him.

The link Rob posted was based on the alberta event. Apparently Ontario HTA not applying on private property is substantially different from other provinces where HTA applies everywhere.
