Knockout.... Just... No.

In a self-defense situation, a couple of shots center-mass are what's called for. Biggest target, will neutralize the threat. Lethality doesn't even factor into the equation. With that being said, I'm betting he'll be switching to .45ACP and choosing a better bullet for his self-defense rounds, like the Hornady XTP

You're completely right about center-mass shots.

Mind you those XTP's would be a nice step up for self-defense ;)

When adrenaline is pumping, unless you practice with time on the line on a regular basis (and even then), the accuracy goes to the crapper.

Very nice bullets to load your rounds with. Very accurate, they feed reliably, decent amount of penetration but won't overpenetrate and they mushroom out very nicely as you can see ;) He was shooting .40, which is a hot round on its own and probably roundnose and must have missed the vitals.

Right tool for the job.. There's a difference between a hypothetical slow zombie apocalypse and a realistic sd scenario

Sorry, no matter how much I'd like for this to be true, it's a fake...

We're sorry to break it to you, folks: The story about a 93-year-old gun-toting grandmother who shot her knockout-game assailant in the head isn't real.

As the rest of the country joins St. Louis in its shock over the violent game designed to hurt random bystanders, wannabe writers are taking advantage of the national mania, penning elaborate fake news stories that readers share online as fact.
