nothing to exciting at royal in the boots section, and like you said, entry level (if that) track gear.

They do have those joe rocket one piece suits for 499 no hst
 
Nick there will be room for you under my canopy just look for the red Ducati canopy I will probably arrive around 9:30 or 10 am

Im bringing a portable BBQ for lunch if anyone wants to bring any food to cook for themselves. (burgers, hot dogs etc)

Pit far right end near the Racer5 storage bins?
 
Isn't that area a high risk of bathroom stink since the wind usually comes up from the south-west? That's why I always pit about middle of pit road.

I may try my helmet on Saturday on the way to TMP. Thinking about riding out to watch in the afternoon.
 
Tim, i think we should pit were we pit last year when we did Racer5.

Didn't stink last time... still a couple of minute walk to get to the bathrooms.
No biggie... Jin & I plan on getting there around 8:30-8:45 am or so. Will have a look for you there Nick.

I should be there around the same time you will. Google maps gives me a 2 hour drive.

Are you still riding green, or moving up to yellow?

I tired calling to register on tuesday, but they said i just show up and pay, you in the same boat Tim?
 
I prepaid on Saturday. No issues.
Signed up for green so that I wouldn't be riding by myself (before you confirmed).
If by some chance I'm getting bored etc, I'll move up to yellow if there's room.

Thinking green in the morning when it's colder out, and then see about yellow after lunch.

Guy who sold me my Daytona will be there tomorrow. He's there already and staying the night.
He's pitted in the corner by the grand stand where I had originally wanted to be.
Will ask him to hold us a spot for another easy up...

Today was fun. Cold in the morning resulting in an absolute mess of crashes and run offs. At least 3 yellow flags (up to 5) per session in green up until lunch (swapped to yellow at that point).

Only one serious crash resulting in the ambulance busting out to the crash - turn 1 claims another victim. Nick was behind the crash and he'll be able to fill everyone in.

Michelle gained some more confidence..
Jin's leg didn't bother him too badly (had surgery a few weeks ago)...
Steve, well.. he was Steve... ;-)
Thomas bumped up to yellow and was rockin' his KTM Duke.
Nick crashed only once... how many run offs? ;-)
And me.. usual caterpillar slow pace, attempted working on throttle control and picking up the pace in a few corners.


All in all a successful track day for the KW area crew...
 
i think every session but 2 i had a run off. most of the time it was usually a gearing problem were i kick it into neutral. The other time i was watching behind me during turn 5 and 6.


Just a minor low side, nothing to major other than a broken bar end and pride. Had to pop my cherry eventually.
 
so who is in next weekend.

Im good for either sunday or monday!

Think I'm done for the season... if any of you guys are going and have trailer space, please let Jin know - he really would like to go.

For me the weather will have to be considerably better. TMP is sketchy in the morning on the best of days. I'm not paying $160 for half a day.
