Kitchener/Waterloo area, c u next trackday riders thread!

So who's going with who at the moment?

Tim - possibly in. Looks like I have someone who wants to buy my icon vest and forearm guards and another who's interested in my 2 piece suit. Meeting the Icon guy tomorrow. Hope to meet the other guy tomorrow as well, but that's in the air.

Got the shock installed over at Randy's place (thanks again Randy!) on Sunday. Man, that zx14 shock is STIFF. Had to take out all of the preload, and the sag is still a little under what it should be. At least it's the right length now (old shock was from a 2008 GSXR 1000, and it ends up that one's 14.5mm too short!) -- hopefully Suzi will finally want to turn when I push, pull, prod and poke her to!

I'm not sure on trailer arrangements as I will be leaving town Friday and returning Monday morning ( or really late Sunday night). That's the plan now so I may just load the bike on the Inlaws single trailer this week and pick it up when I get home. Things may change but count me out of trailering together for now.

:) :) :) you're running out of excuses on why u are so slow Tim ..... I think you may just have to finally LEARN HOW TO RIDE YOUR BIKE!!!! Hehehe I'm free in between sessions ... If u want I can talk to the coordinators on Monday and see if we can have some one on one track time ;) bam!!!
 
Can't watch the video. In the states and roaming is expensive.

But Davey were we on the right track?
 
Red already eh? Guess Dan's ready to trade paint. Just remember guys are going to come around you from any spot in any corner, so expect it, also make sure you get your lines right, which is expected in Red group. Lines are more important than pace.

Tim you can ride along with me if you like. John's bringing 2 bikes, so he'll be on his own, Dan's on his own. Michelle is out in the boonies :p (I bring a fair bit of stuff with anyways), so I don't have a problem driving myself.

Yeah, I'm slow... I admit it... at least it's not mentally like somebody I know... hint hint, nudge nudge... *GRIN*
Got more than enough things to work on.
2 things I'll try to focus on a bit more on is setting good corner entry speeds (turns at the end of straights are difficult for me) and continue working on body position. I think that the week down in the US may have helped me a tiny wee little bit with that, but only time will tell.

Randy - we will see about catching a ride with you. Not certain yet if I'm riding or not yet. Depends on if I get that gear sold or not. If it doesn't sell, I'll tag along in the car. Fair enough?

Jin sounds like he may want to come along as well - his bike is at Apex getting the valve checks and some belts changed. His attendance kind of depends on what the price tag is there, and he needs to get some new tires (especially the rear, since that staple is still in there).
 
Jin can get at least another trackday out of those tires. As long as the staple is not leaking air, it should be ok, but he'll have to keep an eye on it just to be safe. Worst case is he'll get a slow leak. Let me know when you guys know and we'll sort out rides

Yeah I think so. I need to go back and watch bits of it again after looking closer at my tire. It looks like rebound damping, just not sure which way. Also overinflation at the end of the day.

what are you talking about, there's barely a scratch on it. Tave a look at the CBR fiberglassing underneath, that's how your supposed to crash :p

remember it's not cosmetic damage, its a memory.
 
Some memories are best forgotten. Time to move on to something else. hahaha
