Kitchener/Waterloo area, c u next trackday riders thread!

Is there a place in town that you can work on your bike? I used to be able to do some basic stuff in my parking lot, but my new apartment building doesn't like it very much =/.

*edit*
Might help if I read your full list you posted earlier...

Can't help with the chain (no breaker etc) or forks... but other stuff I might be able to....
Come out to one of our group rides sometime and get to know everyone.

Or better yet, if you can spare the afternoon off work, come out to GB on the 23rd and meet everyone who's there all at once.

Anyone thinking of TMP next sat or Sunday?

Just trying to think of an alternate to may23 at GB bc it's forecasting to pour four days straight around then lol

Would consider it a little closer to the date.
Doubtful the forecasters will be able to get it half way right this far in advance. The weather forecast for this Sunday has changed every day for the past 4 days now.

I might do TMP if GB is forecasting crap weather. I want another track day in may for sure.

was going to go to the SOAR practise this weekend, but the weather looks like crap for both days, so I'll have to see when the next day is

Hiya...
Looking at the forecast etc at the moment...
If the weather for the 23rd at GB is going to be crap, I'll probably end up going to TMP on Sunday or Monday (19-20).

Going to the cottage to help mom do spring cleaning stuff on Friday and Saturday...

The current 14 day weather trend (according to the Weather Network) shows 19th to be sunny as well as the 23rd.
Anyone else have potential plans?

After riding the new bike today there are a few things that need attention before I tide it again, so I might be out until June 13 @ GBM.

Today was cold, very windy, but still had a decent time. Got some good pace in for the last session before the hail came. LOL

If the 23 looks like it might rain closer to the wknd I might do the Sunday 19th

Glad to hear you guys still had a decent day in the hail.

didnt end up going to soar o. an account of weather, tmp sat and probably gbm next thurs, new rearsets come in tomorrow after the last tmp crash, unfortunately nohns gopro ran out before it happened or we would have had some good footage. and no more 40 psi tires, got a new pressure guage as well

how many soar guys stuck around

So Saturday is the day everyone wants to go? Not Sunday?

I know Randy wants to go Saturday... I can't 'cause I'm at the cottage. So, if the 23rd is out due to weather I'll probably be at TMP on Sunday the 19th.

Good that Dan and Dave had fun today and kept it safe without any mishaps.

Dave - what you need to do to bike?

Ya I'm leaning towards Sunday. But 23rd is a possibility as well.

Fix the leaky steering damper, figure out which rotor is slightly warped and replace it with a hopefully straight one from the spare wheels, new brake pads since they're only about 1/16" thick, fix leaking cam box gasket.

Sounds like you've got a busy list there Dave...

Picked up some used stainless steel truck rail tool boxes this morning. Now have to get a couple of posts for the stake brackets and get some 1/8" thick, 6-8" long flat bars welded to them. Bolt the boxes to the brackets and it's good --- want to be able to remove the boxes when not going to the track. Should make it a whole lot easier to get to the track if I can't get a ride with a trailer.

Stainless. U said nothing of stainless. Do u know how much of a pain it is to weld stainless ??? Lol

Hence posts and flat bar can be mild steel which will be bolted to the box.
Incredible it may seem, but I did put a bit of thought into this before buying the boxes... :D
Bike will fit snugly between the two. Will have to lift out left side box to be able to pull bike out of wheel chock.
