Kitchener/Waterloo area, c u next trackday riders thread!

If there's a few of you guys going to Grand Bend on the 23rd I'll bring along my camera and play photographer again. I've got to meet someone there and pick up a few things so I might just stick around.
What time do you usually start riding?

Sessions usually start 9ish and run until 5, minus 1 hour for lunch in the middle.

Just throwing it out there but tmp is suppose to be sunny on Thursday

FYI, I talked to Ken and the May 11/12 weekend at GBM will run with groups. One SOAR and one track dayers, RED group riders only.

interesting, depends on weather I guess, as long as its not the cluster**** that happened last year. Heard some rumors that it was SOAR first, and depends how many SOAR guys show up determines how many regular track guys they take with a game time decision. Any merit to that? Any word on space?

Ken said to contact the track to get more info and sign up. I won't be going. I was hoping to be able to ride with everyone like last year, even though it was a bit of a scary mess at times. Just had to tone it down a notch from red zone to keep it safe.

thinking about it, we'll see what the weather says. I believe its modified sautrday (my faviorite layout, full back straight :) IIRC )

I hate being on green. Just saying lol

Why? There are some pretty fast riders in green who choose not to move up simply because they want to ride with friends or want to avoid some of the "yahoos". In general, Yellow has the most crashes per capita as well.

For one of the reasons you just mentioned!!!!!! My friends are in red and would be cool to rip it up in their group on that day when us rookies are not allowed.

Plans changed and it looks like I'll be able to go on Sunday the 12th.

Good to hear. Smergy I'm assuming you're gonna join us? Let the games begin. Id like to go cbr hunting but no point in hunting bear with a sling shot lol. Sv hunting seems easier but massive skill differences will hinder that one too:( ill just "chase my tail". Lol

yeah, I'll be there, just FYI everyone:

NOTE: TIME CHANGE TO TMP TRACK DAY,

As posted on their website, THURSDAY, MAY 2, will be 10-5 instead of 9-5
I encourage everyone to send TMP a strongly worded letter about this last minute bullsh*t. I have already.

Agreed! Green is fine, and fun to ride because you can pass people and boost your confidence, like Tim :D :p (maybe not anymore with the new 750)

Green sucks during racer5 days because of the slow CBR 125's, but i never had a problem moving to yellow after a few sessions.

They can't make you go to work if you're sick. You look like you have a 24 hour flu coming on. Wouldn't want to make the big wigs sick!

SV hunting might not be so bad that day, we'll see. ;)

So when I'm CBR hunting what am I doing, chasing a bear with honey to make him slow down? LOL
