She wasn't elected into the position IIRC. I think the PCs were in much do-do and felt the voters wouldn't punch out a woman so she got nominated into the slot. We did. Lost party status.
JT is OK with the corona situation. I'm not sure how bright he is but he's bright enough to listen to people that are bright. Unlike DT.
I have a problem with the continuous bail out of people that screw up and get another form of assistance. Unfortunately any solution I can come up with sounds like a form of genocide. I like baseball. Three strikes and you're out. Unfortunately that concept has filled the US prisons.
Doing ok, his relief programs are generous and I have no idea how we will ever repay for them.
Thankfully, he will be back in the HOC soon but his daily press conference is a farce as it is carefully formatted with limited screened press access.
He shows up at 11:15 and is gone by 11:45 15 mins statement, and the 15 mins Q&A and then disappears.
This was acceptable during his initial isolation but it is time for him to take the lead and not hide behind Freeland and Tam.

Bingo. You notice there's always 'something new' everyday, probably has another 30 days of announcements already typed up.

Its optics but anyone that had any insight has seen this coming for years. I didn’t buy an AR15 for many reasons but this was the main one....it’s just too big of a big fat political target with a cherry on the top. 1500 models but they are mostly AR variants and also nutbar inclusions to bolster the list like RPGs and javelin missiles (how many people in canada own these as civilians?).
The scorpion and the beretta storm are just in there for political bragging rights.
The list isn’t scientific, it’s reactionary politics at best. If they applied more initiatives to illegal border smuggling they would have much more of an effect on firearm violence.

Anything he doesn't get through before the pandemic is cleaned up won't happen. Right now the balaclava is down and nobody is thinking about tomorrow. Once light shines on the situation and we see what annual debt service will cost, allocating many hundreds of millions to buy guns from law-abiding citizens will look like the dumb idea it is. If he wants handguns gone, he has to do it now and just pretend that the money wasted was part of the covid mess and therefore not avoidable or caused by his idiocy.

lol Government isn't going to buy your automatic weapons from you, they will tell you to turn them in so they can crush them. Then once they stiffen the laws for possession, they will offer an amnesty where you can turn in weapons without question.

grandfathering (under prohib status) means you get to keep them...you just can’t do anything with them
What is the possible upside to that? Since JT's only plausible argument is bad guys are stealing guns from good guys, leaving them out there means he accomplished nothing at all (instead of almost nothing).
