Hello gtam

I want to ask those of you who own an eu or an ef generator where you bought them and also any tips?

Im planning on buying a generator as it seems
Like our grid will be out for awhile as it isnt a "high volume priority". I lost power last night and i guess its be time to grab one for tonight and future use in the garage.

Im planning on the eu2000i because it can be paralleled and because honda ;) + modded fuel line

The ef2400ishc is good for single unit power

Question is, where would be a good place to get one.

Thanks in advance.

Camping World in the US.

Locally, any Honda powersports or equipment dealer should have them. Kijiji should have them too but I am sure they are getting top dollar in the GTA right now.

Check to see if you can buy the "parallel" cord/part needed in Canada.

I was under the impression you can only get this part from USA.

Hmm i think its too late today. Maybe if we dont have power on friday we'll buy a generator. I dont want to buy a bad or something i know i wont like.

FYI. Dont run it in the garage.

really just use it for welding if i plan to go electric vs gas. but what's so bad about the garage? Itll only run if i'm there and if im using power tools. at that point i'll have a respirator/n95 or something similar. I wouldn't work with the garage door close unless i'm going to paint. I know about the 2 new castle people. thanks for looking out ;)

Running it in your garage will build up CO in your garage, and also in your house.

No n95 mask will prevent you from inhaling CO.

Not sureif serious. N95/n100 is what they use toprevent getting infected with h5n1.

The garage and home arent connected. How do you know co will buildup in my garage? Seems like you were the previous owner of my house lol

I was thinking.. 20'x15'x15' garage with a 15' door fully open not enough? I was never thinking of running a generator in a closed space where ill be doing work. Im sure u knew that right?

Of course with your N95 mask on too ..

Backpedalling at its finest.

Good luck with that, every generator within 200 miles will be sold by then. The trick is to buy one and have it sitting in your garage gassed up and ready to go before this s___ happens. And yes I have an eu2000 generator that I've been running since Sunday at close to full load and it has performed flawlessly.Dont waste your time with junk Chinese generators as they will fry any electronic stuff that you try to run off it and that can get pretty expensive.Everything has a circuit board in it these days including your fridge, furnace etc.If you cant find a Honda then get a Yamaha but I seriously wouldn't buy anything else.

The Canadian model eu2000 cannot be paired. The paring doesn't meet the Canadian electrical code so that feature has been deleted. I have a Canadian EU2000 in the garage.
