Insurance Rate Increase?! How much did yours go up?

Riders plus (echelon) last year - $750 for a year full coverage.

Renewal this year - $1050.

43 Year old Male, clean driving record, motorcycle license for 25 years, Versys 650.

Just got off the phone with TD and am now paying $696 for the year.

Bye-bye Riders Plus.

Missed the last 3 seasons with a broken knee, bought a bike yesterday.

Last bike, Honda CBR125 - $120/month (22 years old)

New Bike, Ducati Monster S2R 800 - $126/month (25 years old)

Statefarm rocks.

Finally got my renewal from RBC.

Holy Christmas! For the first time in four years, my rate didn't arbitrarily go up for no reason so I can actually stay with the same insurer! It's still just $632/year. It's goddamned miracle!

1st time M2 new motorcycle owner, ninja 300

rider's plus ,full coverage $1800!!!!!

We'll see what renewal says this year...

Mine went up $300 from $1900 to $2200. I currently reside in Brampton, so obviously my rates are higher to begin with. But a $300 increase with no change with regards to my license is kind of steep.

I just got a letter in the mail today. I went from paying $685/year down to $631/year. I have no idea why it went down, but I'm not complaining.

TDMM prices constantly fluctuate with the market, if you waited another few days it could have been 100 more or less.

47yrs old male 3yrs full M with 1 at fault and 2 speeding tickets
Intact Ins. $700 just liability for SYM HD200 scooter

Canceled policy and getting back on my mountain bike or walk

Just reviving this old thread. Got my insurance renewal papers a couple days ago.

TD Meloche Monnex increased my premium by $139. No claims, or tickets. I've had a clean record for the past few years. When I called them, they gave me a BS line about the Hayabusa being appraised as a higher risk due to increased claims in the past year. What a stinking load. It's gonna pay for Kathleen Wynn's mandated lower auto insurance rates, I bet.

Im not with TDMM but just the regular TD Auto division. My premium went up about $120 vs last year's; zero anything. Guess being a good driver/rider isn't worth their time but they'll sure penalize you even more if you happen not to be. Unfortunately, they are still the cheapest for me for my Ninja 300. I'd even have switched if someone else was a few $ cheaper, just out of principle. I certainly was able to do so for my car policy; they had increased my last one by $700, again, for zero reason.

Got my renewal last week. It went up $250 vs. last year. No change to my stats, tickets, etc. Again with TD.

the rep at TD actually said to me that if I wanted to save money and lower my premiums, I should buy a second car and get their multi-vehicle discount rate. No kidding. He actually said that.

Mine will be going from about ~800 to ~1400. Male, 29, Full M, clean record.

Mostly due to me switching from a 04 GS500F to a financed 2014 CBR650F. Underwriters do not like a new bike with little history, or CBR followed by 600+. I'll be dropping TD who wanted 2k a year. Sounds like it goes down to about ~1200 without comprehensive/upset.

$1900-2000 is a fair rate for TD insuring 600SS for your age. You are right, little do they know 650F is just like SV650, they should be charging the sport touring rate, which is 900-1200 fully comp. Try different insurer and let us know :)
