****ing SPCA CLOWNS

Filthy animals.. Keen on damaging property, making a mess and their feces have a nasty parasite in'em. I wish we were allowed to just shoot'em. The ticket would be worth thousands in Toronto, though :(
You do realize that it is us the ones that are interfering with their habitat right?

Humans also have infections and nasty parasites and we make the biggest mess on this planet, I wish they just allowed me to shoot'em, man I so prefer animals than humans

wow you guys are slacking, comments about the car, nothing about the person holding the coon...

shame gtam shame :sad10:

Priorities man! Anything with an engine first

It's the same mentality that led to our modern society and civilization. "We're more advanced than you, hold on while I just go ahead and murder you so I can put in a deck"

Dude... Those animals thrive in Toronto because they have no natural predators in big cities, there's plenty of food and we aren't allowed to shoot'em.. Contrast that with the countryside where coyotes get most of them and they can't get food from shotgun-wielding humans, and you'll be lucky to spot one in the wild. The population levels in the GTA are unnaturally high.

P.S. Unless you've been a vegan all your life, never killed a mosquito and never benefited from a mosquito eradication program, you may wanna consider unsaddling your high horse

Up here, north of GTA we dont have Racoons at all...in fact people leave their garbage out in garbage bags alone, no bins...nothing rips into them...

I fail to see the high horse

"You do realize that it is us the ones that are interfering with their habitat right" - Not sure where the High horse is on here
"Humans also have infections and nasty parasites and we make the biggest mess on this planet" - or here

"I wish they just allowed me to shoot'em" - I just very much dislike most people

" I so prefer animals than humans" - This is true

You wanna go kill Raccoons? go ahead, but at least go mano a mano with a knife ;)

I love all animals. Grilled, deep fried, smoked, all sorts. BRB, getting hungry.

Health issues aside, there are only 2 ways to kill a raccoon that won't land me in jail..
1) Shooting
2) Syringe filled with pharmaceuticals I don't have access to

Big cities are not their natural habitat and in them, they are pests causing property damage and a health risk. I've seen them break into locked sheds and manage to pry open the "animal-proof" green bins. There is a bigger concentration of food in here, which is also good for mice and rats, but I won't be hearing from you on and on about interfering with the rodents' natural habitat if I decided to set a mouse trap, for example.

Problem solved!

BTW i hate those little ****ers! I now have to take straps and strap all my bins together as well as over the top to prevent these mother ****ers from opening it all and spilling it all over the back yard.

you can use kill traps if they are considered a nuisance. live traps are ok if you're going to give them to animal control to shoot. I'm not sure how drowning them in a live trap works as has been suggested to me, it doesn't seem very humane so i take mine to animal control, he makes hats out of them.

I don't care about the raccoons. It's the rabbits and cowbirds that **** up my vegetable garden that need shooting. I had bird netting out and they still pulled **** out!!

My dad had 4 little ones in his shed, they used a hole near the roof to get in... we smoked 'em out and they bolted up a fence and a tall tree while we patched the hole. 5 minutes later they were back down, trying to get in the house. I felt bad so we opened it back up and figured we'll let em stay for another month or two until they're bigger, then chase em out again.

I don't mind coons much, they're kinda cute. I keep my garbage secured, so do all my neighbours. Cats roam around too, no big deal. My wife found a few abandoned baby coons years ago that nobody would take, so she found a sanctuary out of town that took em. You shoulda looked that up.

Anyone that drowns a racoon in a live trap needs to have their head cracked open!!!

You fail to see that Big cities replaced their natural habitat!

Excuse me, coming through

Tell that to the mice, rats, flies and mosquitoes

Raccoons are categorized as least-concern as there are LOTS of them. In big cities they got access to too much food and no predators to worry about so there's an overpopulation issue. Plenty of other habitats for them to be in, but they don't do nearly as well because they have to deal with coyotes and other predators and don't have access to all that tasty garbage. In the cities, they pose a health risk and damage property. If you've ever swatted a mosquito whose natural habitat you invaded, you have no high moral ground to attack from

I don't have such issues. Any animal that comes on property gets instantly attacked and killed by the husky. Already killed a raccoon before.

Your Dog has no common sense. My 3 bullmastiffs won't blink unless its a real threat

I always wanted a pet raccoon, they're one of my favourite animals as they're so cute and smart. I feel like my 3 cats wouldn't like them so much though, but as most others have stated, I to prefer animals to humans.

Good job at least trying to get someone to look after it. I feel like the SPCA isn't really good fro anything.

A full size raccoon will rip most dogs to shreds, given the rabies and other assorted plagues I'm happy my dogs stay away from them. Cute or not, Coons are a major pest in our area, get into garages and garbage and crap all over. I have no love for the raccoon.

Ever since the SPCA and humane society were going toe to toe over who was the biggest idiot in Toronto I have little use for either organization.
