I Saw You: V.2.0

Re: really? reallyyy?

Me: 7-Eleven gas station in Etobicoke near Queensway.
You: Yellow Hyosung 250cc Bike.

We talked at the gas station as you were fueling up, i hope you get those brakes fixed soon.

Re: really? reallyyy?

Me: Red Honda CBR, Red Joe Rocket textile jacket, black textile pants and red icon airmada helmet.
You: Many motorcycles on my trip today around lakeshore, southdown, royal windsor area.

Also yesterday, saw someone on a cruiser with passenger in oncoming traffic giving a signal where his arm was out, pointed downwards with his finger extended. Not sure what that meant, he was doing that as i saw him and he went past me.

lol its a rider salute.... he's saying hi. next time wave back... unless he's on a harley ;) the closer you get to Union station... the less likely people will wave.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification. I'm still new to that stuff. All these hand signals to learn compared the one ones I know in a car. Well those ones are all rude hand signals I know:)

Re: really? reallyyy?

Me: South on Southdown to Lakeshore in a red Nissan Altima. I saw you coming behind me and beside me as your lane was a merge lane and you sped up near me and cut me off.

You: Some ****** on a bike i couldn't see make or model because you were riding 80+ in a 60 zone, weaving very close to my car in traffic and then lane splitting with your leg out into the lane and then sped off at 80+ after making a corner.
You were wearing a hoodie, jeans, pair of white sneakers, grey helmet & a leather vest.

Hopefully when you take yourself out with your blatant disregard for your own life, you take nobody else with you.

Shane

Oh no! 80 in a 60!

Ticket able offence. It was more about his speed + lack of his own safety that bothered me, especially when he cut me off. If I wasn't an aware driver, he might be in the news.

You and your god complex should've run him down with your badass altima bro.

Re: really? reallyyy?

80 in a 60 and you're griping about that as a ticketable offence? What kind of sheltered vehicular life do you lead? I can't wait to hear your description of every single car on the 401 doing 120+km and their 'blatant disregard for their own life'.

Cutting people off I agree is dangerous but 80 in a 60 is pretty much normal traffic depending on the road...

I saw a guy on the 401 all the way from Guelph to Toronto on the BMW equivalent of a Goldwing (I'm not familiar with the models but it was a K something and looked almost just like a GW except for the BMW logos). Didn't use his turn signals once until he got off the highway and I watched him cut off at least 10 different vehicles (about 3 feet in front of them) including transport trucks and buses for no reason at all. I was in my car and still ended up ahead of him without pulling those silly moves. But his speed didn't concern me. Then again I may have been going faster than him (I'm not admitting anything on here lol) and he was doing 130+. People were still tail gating me (I couldn't go any faster because the traffic was solid).

There are cities that have major roads with limits of 80 or 90 where average traffic is doing 120+ and getting ****** at me for doing 110 because I'm not familiar with the area).

80 in a 60 is a ticketable offense, whether you speeders like it or not, whether i like it or not. That's not the point.

The point was the guy was riding recklessly and cut me off very abruptly. That's what my major issue was, that and his blatant disregard for his safety. I'm sorry if i am not the type of person that see's acting like an ******* as a good thing.

It's amazing how some people leech onto the "speed part" of my message and not the actual point of it. I realise some people like/want to go 20 over the speed limit, it's your choice, it's your life. Good for you, I get it.
I choose otherwise, no matter who likes it or not, maybe my mind will change later, maybe not.

As for a "God complex", not sure which hole you got that from, if I had a god complex, i'd drive more reckless and give a **** less about many things. I don't think myself better then everyone(some people sure), i think we all do at some point.

If you want to cut in front of someone, do it safely and with a good safety zone for yourself, not suddenly and close like a squid. Especially in front of my car, I don't want to be responsible to crippling or killing someone.
I was aware that this guy was gonna cut into my lane, but not when and how close he was going to do it.

People rip on me here about speed and stuff, but guess what? I haven't had a single collision or accident in 3 years of driving and don't ever plan to have them on my motorcycle either.
If you wanna be a squid, if you want to be reckless, then do it. It's your life, just don't take me out with you, or anyone else.

SO to get this thread back on topic...

Rider on a black streetfightered SS last night around 10:30PM with no headlights, next to me in my cage at the red light heading south on Morningside at Sheppard.

When I told you that you had no headlights, you looked over the front of your bike and then gave me a thumbs-up and thanks before continuing south; hope you didn't get pulled over -- a cop had just turned down Morningside as you went through the intersection.

More importantly I hope you got your headlight fixed! Coming from a fellow rider, you were almost completely invisible to both me and my GF -- we had no idea you were even there until we heard you pull up next to us. Ride safe man.

Good thing you dont plan to have a collision on your motorcycle. otherwise it would have probably happened already. But this way, it deff never will.

sorry to say but you do sound like a big whiner in your posts. ive been riding very spiritedly for 3 years and have not fallen yet either. so riding like a grandma doesnt have anything to do with whether you have crashed yet or not. you just like riding and driving like a grandma. Sometimes it just comes down to a drop of bad luck on a bad day, and boom, crash.

Timmies at Orangeville. 2xFZ6 and a nice Suzuki 650. 2 girls 1 guy. Was nice talking to you. Sorry. I missed you in Alliston. Chris.

OMG, was he really going 80 in a 60 zone?

I just feels like you might be exaggerating.

Shane, I'm pretty sure you're my mom.

Mom are you following me again?

You absolutely do, you're a hypocrite to your own philosophies of "10 over is excessive speeding" and "those who speed excessively deserve to die" by your own admission but it's okay, cause its you and "you're a safe driver".

If you want to cut in front of someone, do it safely and with a good safety zone for yourself, not suddenly and close like a squid. Especially in front of my car, I don't want to be responsible to crippling or killing someone.
You don't get to call anyone a squid. You've had a licence how long?

People rip on me here about speed and stuff, but guess what? I haven't had a single collision or accident in 3 years of driving and don't ever plan to have them on my motorcycle either.

OMG 3 WHOLE YEARS???? 3? You NEED to be awarded a medal. No one plans for a collision, they just happen, whether or not you're at fault and whether or not you're prepared. I haven't had a single collision (full disclosure: hit a deer with my car up north) with another vehicle in 6 years of driving and 3 of riding. I "speed excessively", I am liberal with my application of the horn in the GTA and I find myself passing more often than not. But don't tell me, it'll "all catch up to me" right?

If you wanna be a squid, if you want to be reckless, then do it. It's your life, just don't take me out with you, or anyone else.

If you wanna be a self-righteous ninny, then do it. It's your life, just don't suck me into your nanny state "if it only saves one life" ideology, or anyone else.
